3 years later

"Sis, wake up. You need to see this," My eyes flutter open as my brother shakes me awake.

My dream... I just got to the best part.

"What?" My voice is barely over a whisper from the lack of use during the night. Wu's call made my head fill with all kinds of speculations.

"It's all over the news, you need to see it," He hands me his laptop and plays a video. It was a news report with images of the park.

"Three years after the fall of Jurassic World, a debate over Isla Nublar rages on. The island's long-dormant volcano, reclassified as active, has shown considerable unrest in recent months. Theologists now predict an extinction-level event will kill off the last living dinosaurs on the planet.

Since the disaster that shocked the world in 2015, the Masrani Corporation has paid out more than $800 million in damages to settle the class action lawsuits brought by survivors.

Activist groups have mobilized around the globe, in what has become the flashpoint animal rights issue of our time. With an eruption expected at any moment, the US Senate has convened a special committee, to answer a grave moral question: Do dinosaurs deserve the same protections given to other endangered species, or should they be left to die?"

My mind went blank. I couldn't hear my brother, and I focus my eyes to see the computer screen in front of me. It was too much thrown at me, and all I felt was helpless.

What they said was true.

After three years, I've tried to keep tabs on Levi, but it was hard since he was supposed to be dead, people barely knew of his existence, even after the containment breach. I also tried twice to go to the island but was always stopped and almost got arrested. I still had a plan for my third attempt, but the man that I asked for convinced me that if I were to go to prison, then I wouldn't be able to do anything. Even without knowing my true intentions, he knew they were important.

My poor Levi may think I abandoned him. And I can't blame him as I would think the same. I promised I would come back, and I never returned. Now the island's volcano is erupting, most likely going to kill all life on the small piece of land.

"Isabella!" My brother shouts. I snap from my daze to stare at him.

"Yeah?" I reply.

"Why are you crying?" His large hand wipes a tear that rolls down my cheek without my permission.

"I-I don't know," I close his computer and tuck my knees close to my chest in a poor attempt to console myself.

"Everything will be okay, I'm sure of it," He takes a seat next to me and envelops his arms around me. I relax against him, enjoying his warmth and thoughtfulness.

"There's something I need to tell you, Damon," I speak after a couple of minutes of silence. It's now or never.

"What is it?" He tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear, his other arm still around me.

"About Levi, he's alive," His movements halt as he stares at me wide-eyed. "The mosasaur took him into a closed pool. I took care of him and set him free. Those two times I was gone for weeks was when I tried to go to the island. They didn't let me every single time. I promised him that I would come back for him, at least for a visit, but I never could. Now the island is going to blow up, and he is going to die... if he isn't dead already. I don't know what to do Damon, I really don't," I finish, crying on his shoulder from pain and guilt.

Damon's arms hug me tightly.

"Everything will be okay. I promise you."

Oh, Damon. You're the best brother anyone could ask for.
