In Barqdos ~Mooncity *At night Characters:Abbot Morpheus (the second),Helder Nomand ,Roger ,Maidservant. ___________________________ Barqdos is a kingdom of blood sucking monsters.It is located past the western end of the Pacific Ocean.Where all the man -made maps stop.The king of all vampires lives in the capital city of Barqdos named Moon with the royal family at the Castle.The residents of the Nation are mostly Vrykokolas Vampires.
The King was seated on his royal chair in the throne-room waiting for an update on a mission he assigned to one of his most trusted soldiers,Roger.King Abbot Morpheus (the second ) was in deep thoughts,so much so that he didn't notice the maidservant who entered the throneroom .

"Ugghm.."The maidservant cleared her throat to get the kings attention.His eyes landed on her and and she immediately dipped her body downward slightly by bending her knees showcasing a little curtsy before she gazed at the floor while speaking. You could tell she was nervous by how her hand found its way to her back and how her fingers kept twisting and fidgeting with the splitends of her dirty blonde hair which was in a ponytail.
"His majesty ,the king.Roger has returned from the human world."
"Well send him in,along with Helder."King Abbot seemed irritated by her stupidity.He wondered why the maidservant didn't enter with Roger in the first place.
She quickly walked out of the room avoiding how her petite body trembled out of fear.Her goal was not to annoy the king more than she has.He was a man with a temper.
A few seconds later Helder and Roger set foot into the throne room.Helder was the king's equerry.She was the definition of 'beauty with brains '.Her medium lengthed red hair ,grey eyes and body of a supermodel made her the woman in every mans dream.
Roger was feeling disappointed with himself.He was the smartest and bravest soldier in Barqdos yet he failed .He blamed the failure of the Mission on the little girl's blood that distracted him.Roger was overwhelmed with the taste of human blood on his fangs .He had never experienced anything quite like it .It is not his fault that soldiers were fed animal blood while royals got the privilege of drinking delicious human blood.
"His majesty ."Helder and Roger greeted simultaneously.The tension in the room was a clear sign of bad news.Helder decided to cut to the chase "Roger accidentally killed a human child."pause "As soon as his fangs were inserted in the child's neck she bled and her neck broke indicating she is not a vampire nor of Royal blood since he only intended to drug her into sleep."
At that moment,the king's only concern was the wellbeing of his granddaughter and whether Roger drank from the human child which was a crime.The King was not particularly keen on interrogating Roger about breaking any laws yet. "How did this happen,Roger?Where is my granddaughter?"
"His Majesty, I was under the impression that your granddaughter is 6 years old instead of 16 and therefore I thought the 6 year old girl at the orphanage named Mian is your granddaughter. I apologize sir.if I could get a second chance to-"Before Roger finished speaking the King interrupted "You have failed me!Get out of my castle and never return!"You could hear the anger lurking in his voice.He was losing his temper again.
Roger stepped out of the throneroom in a typical walk of shame leaving the King and Helder alone. "Helder, I want Roger demoted!He is supposedly one of our best soldiers yet he cannot find a teenage girl,a teenager?"
"To be fair,Your Majesty.Roger is not a private investigator.Hes a soldier,all he knows is fighting.This is not the time to make decisions based on emotions."Helder liked voicing out her opinions,that's what made her so good at her job.Her mouth often got her into trouble with the wrong people and the fact that she was as hotheaded as they got ,never helped .
"What lead do we have on my granddaughter?"King Abbot asked.His hand was positioned on his fat stomach .He was probably debating on when to start exercising since he was getting a little overweight,Especially for his height.That man was almost as short as a midget.
"Her name is Kiana Thompson.She was at the orphanage but when Roger returned at the orphanage she was already nowhere to be found."Helder informed the King.
"What if she got kidnaped by my enemies ?Roger will pay for this !My granddaughter could be buchered into pieces for all we know."
"My guess is that she got adopted..Your Majesty I have the best people entrusted on this matter.We will be receiving more information from them in less than 4hours."
"But Helder you must take over this mission. You are the only person I trust to bring my granddaughter safely to me ."The king said standing up and placing his hand on her shoulder.Helder was feeling burning warmth in her stomach just by the touch of his hand.The feeling made her weak and pathetic.She always had a thing for him.
Helder took a few steps back from the King."His Majesty,who will do my duties If i leave?"she asked suddenly feeling gloomy at the thought of being miles away from the man she secretly loved for thousands of years.
"I will surely manage without you for a while.It is important for you to return with my granddaughter.Her powers will start working soon which will put her in danger since she has not fully transformed into her true nature.If she starts using them without any training ,our enemies will find out and hunt her down if they aren't already."
Helder wanted to make the king proud enough to fall in love with her .She knew how ridiculous,let alone absurd her plan seemed but she ran out of ideas over the years.The king was just too focused on grieving the death of his late wife to be interested in romance.
Helder and King Abbot were childhood friends so it didn't bother him when she called him by his name. "Abbot,I won't let you down."That sentence was all she could mutter out with him being so close to her.
"Good.Arrange a meeting with the witches to perform the protection spell.We all know the sun is our greatest enemy.Without the spell,you'll be burnt bacon in the human world."The king joked.His sarcasm always pilfered Helder's un beating heart .
