this takes place in a world where you haven't already been found guilty once, so this is their first experience defending/prosecuting you

Phoenix:
-he was trying his hardest to get your not guilty verdict
-all the evidence just seemed to line up, though
-how was he supposed to help you out of this one? There was proof that you were at the location, proof that the body was never moved, proof that you held the weapon, proof that there was something going on between you and the victim...it was all stacked against him
-the judge got sick of hearing Phoenix try to play it off, and he handed down your verdict. Guilty.
-Phoenix looked over to you in defeat, and when you made eye contact, you simply mouthed the word "sorry"

Edgeworth:
-he knew he was good at his job, but managing to find all the evidence it took to prove you guilty was impressive
-especially because this was the one time he really didn't wanna do that
-he felt bad because he knew he screwed up majorly, but looking over at you, he finally understood
-you held no emotion in your eyes
-you just took the verdict like it was part of yourself, so when he asked you the question, all you could do was be honest

Apollo:
-he was practically drowning in this case
-he wasn't planning on proving that his little baby was capable of murder
-surprise, surprise, that's what he did. Well, it's what was proven by the prosecution.
-apollo just watched as you looked over at him and gave him a small nod, confirming his nightmare
-he knew you weren't perfect, but this is where he had to draw the line. He didn't plan on visiting you in jail.

Klavier:
-achtung, baby!
-he was teasing the defense attorney and enjoying this trial because, hey, when's the next time his significant other is going to visit him at work?
-but he was doing too good of a job, and the defense was stumbling to try to dispute the accusations
-the verdict was handed down all too soon, and as you were on your way out, you gave him a hug and whispered one thing to him
-"achtung, baby"

Kristoph:
-he was trying desperately to defend you
-he thought he had gathered enough friends and forged evidence to cover it up, but one of them tatted him out when put under pressure
-his entire plan fell apart, and he didn't have a backup
-when you received your guilty verdict, you just looked over to him and winked
-"looks like it didn't turn out the way we thought...at least I could get him out of your way"

Blackquill:
-he wasn't planning on going easy on you. If you're guilty, you're guilty.
-all the evidence pointed towards you, and he had a sneaking suspicion that there was something fishy going on with you
-he easily shot down all of the defense's arguments, making for a quick trial
-when you confirmed that you really were the killer, he was just disappointed in you
-a murder had practically ruined the first half of his life, so knowing that you would go through with it anyway broke him

Godot:
-when prosecuting, all of the evidence had made it seem like the defendant was guilty
-you happened to be one of the witnesses, but when you testified, a few red flags went off in his mind
-you seemed too eager to be at the witness stand, and what you were saying didn't quite line up with the other witness accounts
-when he finally connected the dots, he made sure the defense knew what happened before letting the show play out before him
-you were found guilty, and he just smirked at you as you were dragged out of the courtroom

Nahyuta:
-he didn't want to bring Rayfa in to do her divination seance, but it was too late, she was eager
-he knew he was prosecuting, but it still hurt seeing you in the playback of the murder
-sweet smell, soft laughter, pain
-you had closed your eyes during the seance, but you knew exactly what was happening every time someone in the audience had gasped
-when you were found guilty, you looked to Nahyuta, saying, "I hope you can still love me"

Also, it was requested that I turn the first date preference into imagines, so I'll work on that eventually:)
