Chapter 26

Chapter 26:
The doctor checked on Charlie. Charlie was release from the emergency room and now they're on their way home.

In the car ride home:
Nick *driving* now Charlie, are you are okay?
Charlie: positive, I do not want to be stuck at the hospital on my birthday
Joe: smart girl

Nick has a van car, so he could fit a couple of people in it. Nick, Sam, Joe, Charlie and Natalie, the rest of them are in Kevin's car.

Charlie: so.... where were you guys anyways?
Nick: uh... we were just working on your birthday surprise
Charlie: really??? Where is it?
Joe: it's-*gets cut off*
Nick: *interrupt* Joseph you promise
Joe: ugh fine!
Charlie: *pouts* you're no fun

Nick chuckled at her pout because he could see it in the view mirror but continued driving.

Sam: so Nick. When does your meeting start tomorrow?
Nick: around 8, but I'll be back around 10 so don't worry that much Charlie
Charlie: I won't, but if you're not back by 10:01 mister that's when I will really freak out. I don't want to be mad at you on my birthday, because that would be no fun either
Nick: I know and I promise I'll be home on time, but if something happens I promise I will
Charlie: you promise?
Nick: I promised
Charlie: okay, I trust you
Nick: good girl

We finally arrive at home, and they all got out of Nick's truck. The other guys were in Kevin's car.

We made it back to the house and as I followed Natalie back into the house, Nick stopped me and said.

Nick: now Charlie, the doctor said you need some bed rest
Charlie: the doctor also said you need to stop babying me. Nick I'm fine, plus Natalie's still here and I want to spend time with her
Taylor: that's fine Charlie, Natalie and I have to leave anyways
Natalie: we do?
Taylor: yes we do, we have to work on that 'thing' we been working on
Natalie: oh... yeah! Bye Cha-Cha
Charlie: I'm confused, what is this 'thing' you guys are working on?
Nick: Charlie now that is obviously none of your business
Charlie: but I just want to know
Nick: march!

Nick said pointing up the stairs and Charlie fold her arms grumpy and stomp up the stairs and slam her bedroom door.

Joe: so um... what is the 'thing' you guys are working on?
Nick: not you too Joe
Joe: what, I'm just curious and I bet Charlie was too
Nick: so you think I was a bit harsh on her?
Joe/Kevin/Taylor/Natalie/Sam: duh
Nick: okay, okay
Taylor: well if you guys must know, it's for Charlie's birthday surprise and ours will definitely give her the biggest smile on her face
Joe: nu-uh, Kevin and I have the best present for Charlie, isn't that right Kevin
Kevin: yep, and we aren't telling you guys what it is
Natalie: well whatever it, it better not be better than me and Taylor present because I know Charlie better than all of you
Nick: guys seriously??? Are we really arguing over whom gonna give Charlie the best presents?
Taylor/Natalie/Joe/Kevin "yes"
Nick: alright then, forget I even ask"
Taylor: come on Natalie let's go, bye guys
Joe/Kevin/Nick: bye
Kevin: well we better get going too, we promise our mom we weren't gonna stay out too late"
Nick: okay, bye guys

They all do their manly handshake thing before leaving Nick's house and Nick said to Sam.

Nick: you okay Sam? You have been out of it lately?
Sam: yeah... I'm fine
Nick: are you sure? Because you haven't talk since we got here?
Sam: I'm fine Nick
Nick: alright then, since we haven't eaten anything yet, I'm gonna go order some pizza since I didn't have time to cook. What do you want on your pizza?
Sam: anything you guys order is fine. Look, I'm gonna go head up to the guess room
Nick: um... okay

He heads up to the guest room and Nick's shrugged his shoulder and took out his cell phone and started to call for pizza.

Nick's POV
After I order pizza, I made soup for Charlie before heading up the stairs to Charlie's bedroom to check up on her. I peek into her room to find her hanging off her bed watching TV. She looked at me when she walked in, and she immediately turned off the TV and I said.

Nick: didn't I say to go to bed?
Charlie: *pouts* but I'm not tired
Nick: but you need your rest, and don't sit like that you're gonna get sick, the amnesia hasn't worn off yet
Charlie: Nick when I say I'm fine, I'm fine I don't need any rest please can you just get off my c-

Charlie stopped what she was saying before covering her month and running to the bathroom and I heard throwing up. I helped her by moving the hair out of her face. When she finished, I gave her the look, and she wiped her mouth and said.

Charlie: don't give me that, I know, I know. I told you so

Nick: *smiles* I love being right 

Charlie: *rolls eyes* I know and I'll try to be more careful next time *brush her teeth*
Nick: I know you will, because ever since mom and dad death, I've sort of kind of over protective. But you know, I'm just doing this for your own good, right?
Charlie: I know... I'm hungry
Nick: well you're in luck, I just so happened to have prepared you some soup 

Charlie: *pouts* I don't want soup

Nick: I know honey, but it's just until the amnesia wears off tomorrow

Charlie: okay... but what are you and Sam gonna eat?

Nick: pizza

Charlie: no fair!

Nick: I'm sorry kiddo

I kissed her forehead, and she pouted but, and we walked back to my room and I gave her, her soup, and she laid her head on my shoulder. I wrap one arm around her.

Charlie: Nick

She said looking up at me.

Nick: yeah Hun?
Charlie: I miss mommy and daddy

I frowned at her and wrap both of my arms around her and hold her close to me and whispered.

Nick: I know I do to
Charlie: can we do something while where waiting for your pizza?
Nick sure like what?"
Charlie: talk about the good times

Nick: won't that make you sad?

Charlie: a little, but I got use to the fact that they aren't around anymore

Nick: alright but you have to promise me you will eat the soup

Charlie: *makes wrinkle face* fine...

Nick: come on, it's chicken noddle soup your favorite

Charlie: okay...

Sam's POV
I was worried about a phone call from either of my sibling to tell me what happened, to Jessica, you see I'm the oldest out of all of them and I been taking care of them ever since our parents left us. Just then I got another phone call from my brother Jake and I answered it and said.

Sam: guys... what's going on over there?
Jake: um... Jessica got into a car accident
Sam: *shocked* h-how d-did that happened?"
Jake: well I told her she couldn't go on her date, but she ignored me anyways and just left
Sam *sighs* I knew I shouldn't of let you guys in charge by yourself. I don't know what I'm gonna do, I can't leave Charlie her birthday is tomorrow and you guys were supposed to fly in by tomorrow
Jake: I'll check in with her doctor to see if she can leave tonight, then I'll call us a cab and will get our stuff from our house and then tell our cab driver to meet us at the airport"
Sam: okay thanks, and tell me some news on how Jessica doing, boy I'm gonna kill who ever did this to her 
Jake: I'm sure it was an accident man
Sam: an accident, dude our sister got involved in a hit-and-run, and she was sent to the emergency room! How do you call that an accident??
Jake: I guess you're right. I gotta go, Mandy won't stop bothering me"
Sam: alright fine but call me when u have some news on Jessica"
Jake: I will, bye
Sam: bye

We both hang up and I sigh and drop my phone on the bed. The bell rang and it was probably the pizza man, I walk out of the guest room to go make sure.
