"... clay are you seriously alright!? You look pretty pale!"
"I ehh.. yeah of course! I'm fine, d-definitely."
Y/n decided to put her arm around clay, sure it might made him feel more uncomfortable.. but she was willing to risk that to calm him down because he really didn't look good at all.
Of course at first he was shocked by the sudden contact, but he later found it comforting.
"A-anyway, after that something happens... I promised him that I.. would...."
"...look you don't have to tell me."
Y/n quietly spoke out, even though she did want to hear what he was going on about.
"But if I don't tell you now I'm never going to!"
He quickly said, suddenly.. he seemed really scared... somehow even more scared than before.
He hardly swallowed as he completely tensed up, the feeling coming back to him once again.
"Ah! Forget about what I just said! I just decided that It doesn't matter that much! So..."
Y/n had changed her mind about what she said before, it seemed like he would be better off spitting it out instead of holding things in.. and it definitely seemed like it mattered to him a lot.
"Clay! I can tell there's something really troubling you right now, and as your friend I want to hear it... it's not good for you to bottle up your worries!"
"B-but I..."
"Tell me what it is. I'll try my best to understand it and I definitely won't make fun of you for whatever it is! Seeing you like this... makes me feel terrible... I just want to see you completely at ease... not like this!"
Her words made him feel a lot more calm, he took a few deep breaths. He looked down at the blades of grass flowing in the wind. His heart racing... but him still feeling like he could tell y/n anything.
"W-well... I was going to save this till after the meteor shower took place, but it seems like it's not going to happen so..."
"Clay."
He looked up at Y/n, as she gave him a gentle, kind, reassuring smile.
"Go ahead. Tell me."
"R-right! How do I say this?... You know how I ramble about space all of the time?"
"Yeah, of course I do."
Y/n said with a small chuckle, clay letting out a small laugh too, easing the tension.
"Well, I never noticed this before. but when you're not around and it's just me and Apollo. I tend to ramble about something else."
"...something else?"
"Yeah... "
He blushed, he was doing this! He couldn't even believe it. he decided to let it out, the feeling that he was bottling up for all this time.
"...she's amazing, I feel so happy when she's around and she's on my mind constantly, I don't care about looking out at the stars if I can't look at her and.."
He paused, looked over at y/n and immediately felt embarrassed.
"Sorry for rambling!.. and for how sickeningly overly romantic that was..."
"No! It wasn't sickening, just to be clear though.. you're talking about...?"
Clay took a deep breath, before he smiled and said.
"Isn't it obvious? There's only one girl who means more to me than every galaxy out there."
"W-wait! So you're saying!.."
"Yes y/n I'm talking about you."
Her eyes widened, her lips slightly parted as she tried to process this.
All those small times she picked up on interesting things he did, every time clay would slip up when rambling about space and start describing a person.
It all made sense.
"Clay.... I feel the same way..."
"You do?"
"Yes! was this really what you were worried about?"
Clay beamed, he suddenly felt overwhelmingly happy, his eyes sparkled as tears formed in his eyes.
He quickly wiped them away, not wanting to overreact too much.
"Ahah.. I never expected this to happen..."
His voice sounded a little raspy all of a sudden, Y/n was absolutely smitten with how cute he was acting. She pulled him closer for a kiss, and he immediately kissed back, seemed like he was waiting for this moment for a very long time.

"Hey guys I brought the.... oh... my..."
The two pulled away at the sound of Apollo's voice, well this was awkward.
"Oh Apollo hey!..."
"....."
"........"
He smirked and crossed his arms.
"I knew I'd end up being the third wheel, but you two aren't the only thing I was so shocked about."
Clay blinked, before turning towards the sky. He saw a bunch of what looked like shooting stars gliding across the sky, the three stared at the beautiful sight in awe.
"Woah, you were right! This is so cool!"
Y/n gasped, clay smirked and looked over at her.
"Told you so! Although it's not the most exciting thing to happen tonight.."
The two giggled as Apollo just rolled his eyes.
"Get a room you two."
