There are two kinds of yelling that can be heard inside the Driftveil world arena. Firstly, you have the crowd who's Shouts of support and command from the stand mixed in with one another creating nothing but white noise for the competitors. Then, you have the competitors themselves. Shouting commands to their trusted allies. This along with the scene of shattered leaves, embers of fire, crackles of electricity and other various moves which created indentation and craters in the battle area are a constant sight within the iconic structure during tournament days.

And today is no exception as Iris and Blue fiercely battle for a spot in tomorrow's semi-finals. Although they're only former champions of their respective regions the crowd will always appreciate a battle from anyone if they put on a show for them to enjoy, and oh boy did they put on a show to enjoy....

After a solid 30 minutes of nail biting action Iris was defeated. With his final Pokémon Haxorus narrowly beaten by Blue's Blastoise who himself was barely standing. As the stadium announcer yells Blue's name as the victor, the two combatant return their partner to their respective poke ball before walking up to centre ring to shake hands as a show of sportsmanship.

"I'm upset that I couldn't win, but you know what? I'm also happy because that was one hell of a battle, you and your Pokémon give everything they have and so did me and my team. I would've prefer it if I won but oh well, a good battle is a good battle, good luck in the semis!". Says the happy yet disappointed Iris while shaking hands with the man who defeated her.

"Oh, thank you! I appreciate it, you did great too. Very well if I have to admit it myself, 5 more minutes and I'm probably gonna be the one on the losing side". Blue says in response, the uncharacteristically soft response came as a result of the surprise of seeing Iris's happy expression after being defeated. Never have blue seen anyone response to defeat like that before, not even from himself.

The two exchange smiles as they head back to their respective tunnels. There Red, who's force to wait there since the vip area is still under maintenance and sitting in the stands is something he won't even consider is waiting for him.

"So how did I do out there, huh?". Blue ask with his signature self-esteem as he nudges His friend's shoulder.

"Not bad I suppose". Red shrugs as he answers blue's question with his trademark stoic-cold attitude. "Pretty even match but I have to say you only win by chance, Iris battle a little better than you"

"Oh Red......." Blue let out a sigh at their exchange of signature attitudes that reckons back to their old days in Kanto. "Never wanting to admit that I'm better as always. Anyway, better get moving to that special room they set up for the live interview they probably want us to be there asap".

"I'm not sure if I want to do this Blue...." Red hesitantly mumbled as blue was about to lead them to their interview room.

"Oh come on red, it's part to of your rehabilitation process. You've done one taped, now it's time for you to do a live one." Before his friend could give a reply Blue grab his arm before breaking into a sprint. Red would have to go through this, whether he likes it or not. Blue look back and give a reassuring look to his terrified friend. "Don't worry, everything's going to be ok."

After several minutes of running around the inner halls of the arena the two finally reach the special room in question, it was a room used as a warehouse to store the janitor's equipments that have been converted into a makeshift suite due to the ongoing maintence of the vip area. In it were three chair that were placed in front of the TV crew's equipment, and behind it some cheap wall décor to cover up the original plain white colouring of the warehouse.
