MELODY, WHO WAS STILL SLIGHTLY stunned at what had just happened with the mermaid, thomas and her short adventure her on neverland, sat by herself on the warm sand, aimlessly drawing squiggles and lines in the sand below, trying to keep herself from falling into complete boredom, which was close. melody huffed out as her level of boredom was increasing fast. it was only just past mid-day and melody still had done nothing with her day. the girls eyes slowly drifted up from the sand to make contact with the ocean which rolled and splashed in front of her. some part of her was about ready to jump from her current position and leap into the blue abyss that crept up to her, reaching for her. the other part shivered at the sight and the memories of what happened not along ago with the half fish creature that swam around this horrid land, trapping her here. huffing out, she dropped to the sand, her back making contact with the warming sand below. a tiny smile started tugging on the corners of her lips as her nose crinkled as the sand from below warmed her body. with the sun beating down on her from above and the lovely sand that rest under her keeping her warm, thoughts began to drift around her head as she lay there under the sun. trying to soak up as much as she could before night fell upon this land. she dreaded the night. the cold air, the darkness. nothing scared her more than not knowing what was hidden in the darkness that surrounds her. melody's body shivered at the thought and continued to push it out of her dreamy mind and focus on the happy. she breathed out throw her nose as her eyes closed on themselves. not drifting into a sleep full stage yet but just resting, blocking out the sun for a second. this, right here, was where melody was most happy and for a moment it felt like she wasn't trapped on this island. like she could just head back home when it got dark. a small part of her was aware of this but the rest choose to ignore it and feel free for a few moments more before her mind would take control of her thoughts completely.

night was falling upon neverland fast. the sun once again sunk down into the ocean's depths as it left behind colours beyond the imagination. small stars began to wake up, getting their glow light up bits of the now darkening night sky. melody watched in amazement as the sky changed like it did every night. gazing up at the thing that connected us to the rest of the universe, small clouds of grey and black began to form over neverland. melody sighed when the clouds became all that the eye could see, covering the beauty of the night. within a blink of an eye small raindrops began to fall from the sky, landing on the earthy ground below. some missing the ground and landing on melody, running down and cheeks and meeting their end as they fell to the floor. melody quickly brought herself to her feet as she made her way to the edge of the jungle to herself from getting wet. she brought her dress covered knees up to her chest, draping exposed her arms around her bruised and pale legs watching the small bits of water fly and dart down from the sky as wind whipped up from the sea, hitting melody, sending shivers down her spine. chilling poor melody to the core.

pan's dark and cold heart sunk to the bottom of his boned chest as he noticed small bit of rain falling from the skies above neverland. with his lips pressed in a straight line he pushed himself off the tree he had been resting on, keeping an eye on melody. his eyes were taken off of her to look out at the now darkened sky. he huffed to myself as an idea sprung to his messed up mind. with a quick smirk and eyebrow raised he flung down from the great oak and found his way to the camp, informing the patiently waiting lost boys of master plan.

melody's bright eyes were about to fall close on themselves if it weren't for the sound of a twig breaking to the side of her that set her eyes open and mind a mess. she snapped her head to the sound, fearing the worst. he was back. she thought. and not pan, the hooded figure from before. within a flash she was on her feet and slowly backing off. she couldn't see anything around her, only bits of dulled light made their way through to the jungles end, allowing enough light to see the hooded figure appear in front of her. he had his bow and arrow pointed at her, ready to shoot. a trembling melody's eyes widened at the sight and bolted off in the other direction, running into the jungle without a second thought. the sound of her feet slapping the floor could be heard as the sounded echoed and mixed with the sound of the rain falling hard on the canopy above her. hot on her trail was the hooded figure. his boots making similar noises to melody's feet, the noise allowed melody to hear how close or far he was. she picked up her pace as she farted past trees and bushes scattered on the now muddy dirt floor. her heart beat pounded in her eyes and her lungs began burn with the lack of air getting into them to calm them. the floor became so slippery melody began to find it hard to stand on. her body came to sudden holt as her fragile body slammed into a heavy object. her heart sank as another hooded figure looked down upon her, this one holding a spear above her head. melody's feet fought their way against the dirt below as she quickly made her way to her feet again and ran off in a different direction. now, not one but two hooded figures jogged behind her. her body was now soaked from the rained beating down on her from above, the bottom of her dress turning brown from the material soaking up the wet dirt. arrows whipped past her as she continued to bolt in random directions, attempting to lose the figures behind her. cloaks flashed behind trees and ran amongst trees to her sides, more hooded figures joining the pair behind her. eyes let small tears escape the corners of her eyes as she ran, flying past her, getting taken by the wind. arms thrashed around her, giving her momentum. her speed only increased at the thought of the figures chasing her like a game. this time she was not brave enough to face them and fight back, the only thing she wanted to do was run, run away from whatever followed. the rain grew heavier as her legs began to give up on her, them getting too tired to keep going. melody didn't care anymore as she let her body collapse to the dirt floor below. her arms and stomach making contact with the ground, turning her once white dress a dark shade of brown now. she sobbed as she rose her head, noticing everything was still, no one surrounded her and nothing was following her anymore. her breathing slowed and she rose to her knees, resting on her eyes as small particles of water slashed against her forehead and body. melody's body shook with fright as the sight of another figure stood a few feet from her, learning against a tree with their arms crossed over their chest. her heart slowed a bit as they lifted their head, greens eyes meeting her bright blue ones. she sighed out at the sight of pan standing in front of her, him dressed in green and seemingly quite dry compared to a drenched melody that slouched with tiredness. pan pushed himself off the tree letting his arms fall to his sides as he made small and slow steps towards a tired and drained melody. he picked up on this and began to smirk to himself. he stood in front of her, no emotion presented on his face what's so ever, only an eyebrow raised as if it was stuck there. he looked down at her as he extended a hand out towards her, offering it to her to take. melody gazed up at him, looking in his eye almost making sure it was safe for her to reach out and grab his perfectly pale hand. her hand slid onto of his soft and warm hands, wrapping her fingers around the slim build of his hand and fingers. his fingers snaked around her chilling hand, embracing it in his, warming her just from his touch. they looked at each other just for a second more, eyes glued to each other's. blue and green mixing together.
