Tris pov
A good 3 years later
"Shoes time" I say to Elle who is running around in her princess costume around the living room.
"No mommy" she says laughing while picking up one of her toys and dancing with it.
"Elle please come sit so I can put on your shoes" I sigh
Tobias walks into the living room and sees my struggling so he scoops her up in his arms and brings her to the couch where I'm at so she can get her shoes on.
We are on our way to the airport because we are going to Disney world for Elle's 3rd birthday. My parents and Tobias parents are also coming so it's going to be a nice big family trip.
"Now Elle why aren't we listening to mommy" Tobias ask her in his gentle dad voice while putting on her shoes
"I didn't want to put my shoes on" she says innocently
"In order to be a good girl the number one rule is to always listen to mommy and daddy. If not, it's time out time and no Disney world" Tobias says and she pouts
"Okay daddy" she says
"Now apologize to your mother" Tobias tells her
She hops off the couch and hugs me.
"I'm sorry mommy" she says and I hug her tighter
"It's okay bug. How about you go pick one toy to bring for the plane ride" I tell her and she runs to her room to look. I already know which one she's going to pick. Her princess stuffed animal.
"You're always so good with her" I say to Tobias
He holds my waist and lifts my head to his.
"She has her moments but you're an amazing mother to her and nothing can change that" he tells me and I smile up at him.
He leans down and pecks my lips, I go to deepen it when he pulls away.
"I was thinking we could spend a night to ourselves since it's our 3rd wedding anniversary also" he says
Elle was born on our wedding day so it's her birthday but also our anniversary.
"A romantic night out at Disney sounds perfect" I tell him and he gives me a nice quick kiss before Elle enters the room again.
"I found my toy" she says waving the princess stuffed animal I knew she would pick in the air.
"Looks like we're ready to go" Tobias says and Elle cheers.
