    Eddie couldn't focus on his classes. All he could think about was Richie, how he would react, how beautiful he is, just anything concerning Richie Eddie was thinking of it. He was still thinking of worst case scenarios, but Richie held his hand again in the next class. This time when Richie grabbed his hand he blushed, turning the color of a ripe tomato. Thankfully Richie didn't seem to notice it. If Eddie would have looked at Richie's face he would have seen that Richie was blushing just as much or maybe more than Eddie was.
    Richie thought I get to find out if Eddie is my soulmate or not today. I wish he would show me but he'll probably show us at lunch. Eddie was thinking about lunch too. Except he was thinking about how scared he is going to be and still worried about how Richie would react. Come on he's holding your hand! He obviously likes you. Stop worrying about it! If he didn't like you he wouldn't be holding your hand. And it's not like it an accident. He's done it both periods, if it was an accident he wouldn't be holding your hand right now, Idiot! The reasonable part of Eddie's brain thought.
   He can tell I'm nervous about something. He's just holding my hand to calm me down. Just because he's holding my hand doesn't mean he likes me. Or if he does he could still change his mind when he finds out. He's just being a good friend and caring about how I'm worried. That doesn't automatically mean he likes me. He held Bill's hand in 5 grade when he took Bill to the nurse but he didn't like Bill so just because he's holding my hand it doesn't mean he likes me. He's going to be mad because he probably doesn't want his soulmate to be a boy. The other part of Eddie's mind retorted.
    I hope this isn't bothering Eddie. I mean he could let go but maybe he just doesn't want to hurt my feelings by letting go. Richie squeezed Eddie's hand again. When Eddie squeezed back Richie thought Maybe I do have a change with this beautiful tiny angel sitting next to me. Eddie thought Ok maybe he does like me. But even that didn't stop him worrying about Richie's reaction at lunch time, which Eddie was still dreading
