I walked into the house quietly knowing my mom would be in bed. Before heading upstairs, I went into the kitchen to get a glass of milk. Once I finished it, I rinsed it off then put the glass in the dishwasher. I walked up the stairs quietly until I reached my room. I closed the door behind me, then turned the light on. I quickly changed into my pyjamas shorts and oversized t-shirt and crawled into bed. I then dialled Hannah's number to tell her that Andrew asked me out.
"Hey Em" Hannah said in her normal upbeat tone.
"Hey" I replied excitedly
"So what's up" she asked
"Andrew asked me out" I squealed
*Hannah squeals*
"I'm so happy for you" Hannah said excitedly
"Thanks" I replied smiling
"So where is he taking you" she asked curiously
"I don't know yet, I don't even know when it is. We're working out the details tomorrow" I replied
"I see, well as soon as you find out call me" she said happily
"I'm gonna try to get some sleep, so I'll talk to you tomorrow" I said with a yawn
"Talk to you tomorrow" Hannah said before hanging up the phone.
I plugged my phone in on my bedside table, shut off my lamp, then crawled underneath the blankets.

I woke up to the sun peeking threw my curtains. I rubbed my eyes and stretched my arms before heading downstairs to find my mum making breakfast.
"Morning mom" she smiled while giving wrapping my arms around her shoulders.
"Hey sweetie" she smiled.
"So when are you and Andrew going on your date" she winked
"Wait, how do you know he asked me out" I replied confused
"Lynn called me this morning and told me" she replied putting a piece of breakfast ham on my plate.
"Blabber mouth" I said under my breath about Andrew.
"So when were you going to tell me about Andrew asking you out" she said asked
"This morning, or afternoon or never" I said while mumbling the 'never'
"Oh come on, you would've have to tell me at some point" she laughed
"Ya maybe when we actually start dating" I replied
"Oh so you think your going to date" she said raising an eyebrow
"No I mean yes I mean maybe I don't know" I laughed
"Well if you and Andrew do end up dating, you have my full permission" she smiled causing me to smile.
