the Conversation
I have walked away so many times
Yet you always come look for me
I know it is because you are afraid
Not because you want to be free
I have opened the door for you
So many times, you never leave
I cannot simply walk away
From something in which I believe
You know of my situation
There is someone I love so true
I would never do anything to jeopardize
But I can't help being in love with you
But you are so young, so beautiful
You could be with anyone
Then I will wait for me and you
I feel strongly, our time will come
There are so many years between us
We would have so little time
I will take every minute I get
As long as you promise to be mine
What if we have a child
How in the world would we explain
They would just look at you as Daddy
Nothing would ever change
But what if I become sick
And needed care every day
Then I would be there to nurse you
I will always find a way
Why are you wasting time on me
On something that may never be
Because I know one thing
Above all, to be true
From the moment we met
I have been in love with you
And I know the odds are against us
And the chances are very slim
But as long as there is a chance
Even one slim chance
I will hold on
For our life to begin
Love knows no age
And yes I have the time
I can't let go, because my heart
Keeps saying you will be mine
So I have one question for you
More important than all the rest
Do you love me, my darling?
YES
Then
I will wait for US
