vignettes of love

simple man

these words won't rhyme

i don't have a poet's way

of bringing words to life

of creating images

and feelings

i'm just a normal guy

with normal words

but

these words

come from a place

beyond my mind

my heart

or

my soul

from the very essence

of what i am

without you

time is but

minutes and hours

you make time 

a special place

where

minutes and hours

don't exist

there is only

you and me

without you

i have no life

just an

existence

where the daily repetition

of life

becomes a cloud

you have made

every day

a new adventure

a new chapter

in a never-ending book

i only had a life

you showed me

how

to live

without you

i would never have known

love

you showed me

it can

be like in the movies

and

there is

a pot of gold

at the end

of every rainbow

and

there definitely is

happy ever after

i guess what i am trying to say

in my own own simple way
