"Get some rest, both of you," he commanded softly. Surprisingly, Harry didn't argue and instead carefully set me on the bed and kicked off his shoes. "I'll wake you up when I have an idea."

I nodded and curled up in the bed, letting my eyes fall close. I felt Harry move behind me and pull my back to his chest. He hummed quietly and kept me close the whole time.

"Why the hell didn't you tell me?" I heard Liam yell. I sat up quickly despite every muscle in my body fighting back. Harry wasn't in the room either.

"Don't be fighting," I whispered, climbing out of the bed. I walked to the door, having to take a deep breath after each one for the first few steps. I finally got to the living room and realized he was yelling at our parents while Harry stood to the side. His back was turned to me, so I walked closer to him, wrapping my arms around his middle and leaning my head on his back.

"You should be in bed still," Harry whispered. I shrugged, biting my lip to muffle a small groan of pain. "Lou, don't push yourself."

"I'm okay," I whispered.

"I don't get why you didn't tell me. That almost got him killed, you realize that right?" Liam seethed.

"He's fine-" my dad started to say, but Liam cut him off.

"He's in a ton of fucking pain, right now, actually. He literally detached himself from his body, which I don't know how the fuck that worked, but it fucking hurt. I only felt it for a fraction of a second, and he's in it constantly right now."

I wanted to argue and say it wasn't that bad, but it was. I really was only standing because I was using Harry for support.

"Lou, love," my mom called. I looked up at her over Harry's shoulder. "Come sit down."

I shook my head and held onto Harry even tighter. Some thing didn't feel right. My ears started ringing lightly and it only got louder. "Harry," I groaned, feeling my body start to tense up.

"Is he waking up?"

"What?" I asked quietly. It felt like someone touched my forehead, but my head was pressed into Harry's back.

"Something's happening, anyway," a different voice replied. "Louis, wake up."

"I am awake," I muttered, letting go of Harry and falling to the floor.

"Keep talking. It might draw him out."

"Draw me out of what?"

"Louis!" Harry shouted, startling me. "What's going on?"

"I don't..." I squeezed my eyes shut. I wanted it all to stop. I wanted Harry, I wanted to be normal, I didn't want to be in so much pain it felt like I couldn't even cry.

"Louis, wake up, love. Wake up."

I groaned and squeezed my eyes shut, taking deep, deep breaths. When I opened them, they felt heavy, and I was laying on my back. I swore I was sitting up. Another small whimper left my mouth as the hand on my forehead solidified.

"Louis?" A voice on the verge of tears asked. I looked over and saw a woman, her eyes wet as she smiled. "Oh god." Her hand slid down my face to touch my cheek. "How do you feel?"

"My body hurts," I grumbled. "Where's Harry?"

"Harry? You mean Harry Styles?" She asked, clearly confused.

"Yeah," I said back quietly, pushing back away from her. My boyfriend. Where is my boyfriend?

"Honey, you two haven't talked in years. You don't get along well, remember?"

I shook my head. "No, no, I met him at a summer camp and he started high school with me this year. I haven't known him for years." My breathing started picking up and the heart rate monitor beeped faster. "We get along perfectly."

"Louis, you're just confused, love."

"Where's Liam?" Again she gave me a blank look. "My brother? My twin brother?"

My mom's face paled at that comment. "How did you find out-?"

I looked at the door as a blonde head walked through into the room. I stopped breathing then started to shake my head. "Why is he here?"

My mom turned around and looked at Niall. "That's your brother, Louis."

I shook my head. "Where's Liam?" Liam? Where are you?

"Baby, I haven't seen him since you guys were born. I gave him up," she answered shakily.

"No, no, I grew up with him. He's my best friend. You didn't give him up."

"Louis-"

"Where am I? I want to go home."

Niall, who had just been staring at me up until this point, stepped forward. I snapped my head towards him and shook my head.

"Louis, calm down," he said calmly. I shut my eyes tightly, wanting to go back. I needed Liam and Harry. I wouldn't be able to function without them. It couldn't have been made up.

"I want to go home," I cried. Where were the doctors? I didn't trust Niall and this obviously wasn't my mom.

Louis, Liam called, but it sounded distorted. Fuck, Louis please.

Liam? I sat up straighter. Where are you?

Listen, this is going to sound confusing. You're in front of me out cold right now. Where are you?

What? I looked around the hospital room. A hospital. Mom's here and Niall is too. She says she gave you up at birth and Niall's  my brother and that Harry and I don't get along and-

Calm down, calm down. Focus on me, okay? Just forget they exist, focus on me.

I'm scared, Liam. I need you, you're like my best friend, you can't just not exist in my world.

I do exist. I do exist, Louis. Are your eyes closed?

I looked at my mom, or the woman who was supposed to be my mom, who was staring at me. "Louis, don't zone out. Please don't zone out on us," she begged quietly. "We just got you back."

Louis, are your eyes closed? Liam asked again. I closed my eyes and pressed my head to my knees, taking a deep breath and pushing it back out.

Yes. I want to come home.

You'll be home soon, Louis. Just stay focused on me. Block everything else out.

How am I still tired? I asked him.

I don't know. But don't force yourself to stay awake. Go to sleep if you want.

Will I be there when I wake up?

Liam paused before answering, which scared me, admittedly. You should be. I can't promise, but I'm like ninety percent sure you'll be here.
