Asher's P.O.V~
After I got out of the bathroom I walked downstairs to see Lucas pouting on the couch. I smiled, remembering what happened earlier, and walked over to him, picking him up under his arms and pulling him over the back of the couch, only to reposition him so he was sitting on my forearms and playing with the back of my hair. He never once lost his pout
"How're you doing baby?" I asked him, and walked towards the kitchen as he cast his eyes slowly to meet mine and his cheeks turned a beautiful cherry red
"I hate you" He huffed
"I love you too, darling" I kissed his head and he looked down, obviously fighting himself to stay mad at me. I felt like cooing at him. He was just too adorable "How about I make us some dinner, will that cheer you up?"
He looked back over at me and pursed his lips "I'm listening"
I grinned "We can make it a date, and after we'll watch a movie and cuddle. Then will you forgive me?"
"I suppose I might be able to forgive you if you throw in some new fuzzy socks" He said, and I smirked
"I'll take you out shopping sometime this week and we can get anything you want" I kissed his cheek and set him on the kitchen counter as I started pulling out stuff to make pasta
"I just want some fuzzy socks. Mine are getting worn out because I wear them so much" he frowned down at his socked feet, wiggling his toes
"Well then we'll buy you some new fuzzy socks and a bunch of stuff I want to buy you" I said simply as I started boiling the water
"I don't want you to spend-" He started
"But I want to. Just shush and let me spoil you" I threw him a smirk over my shoulder and he sighed, his cheeks turning red again
I got a phone call and picked it up as I started making the sauce
"Green" I said
"Smith" I heard Thea's voice come through "Lacey, Logan and me are gonna keep the kiddo's at Logan's and try and cheer them up. You and Lucas can have some time to process what's going on before they come back"
I thought about it. Being at Logan's might not be the best idea, but if Lacey and Thea were there it should be fine. I hummed thoughtfully before deciding
"Alright, fine. But I want them back tomorrow"
"Alright. Have a good night Asher. Make sure you take care of Lucas. He just got out of one bad situation and now he's being pushed face first into another" She said sadly
"I will. Good night" I said
"Night" She said, and hung up
"Thea, Lacey, and Logan are gonna keep the kids for tonight" I said to Lucas. He frowned, biting on his lip
"It may not be ideal, but they are our friends, and I think we need some time to process this before we dive face first into being parents" I said walking over to him and resting both my hands on his thighs
"Oh my god. We're actually parents. We have fucking kids, Asher. How are we supposed to take care of three of them? They need rooms, and clothes, and toys, and we have to find them a school, and a way to get to school, and-" I could tell he was panicking. I saw it in his eyes, all the ideas flashing around without break
"It's okay, we're gonna figure it out. Right now, let's just focus on us" I said grabbing his cheeks and kissing him, and I felt him respond almost instantly
I pulled back and smiled at him, then went back over to continue making dinner
We cuddled up on the couch and put on a movie with our dinner in front of us
