Eternal Hiatus {永遠の裂孔} (CPN)

Cold December wind met her face as she opened the door.

The first drops of snow fell and she quickly brushed them off her hair
before pulling up the hood of her coat.

Today's gonna be a long day...

She thought.

Another day in the endless cycle of life.

A petulant sigh.

I'm sick of it.

She stood in front of the school's gate.

It was bustling with students hurrying to get inside,
but not her—
she didn't want to enter at all.

Upon entering, she immediately ducked her head and walked briskly.

Merely avoiding the stares and whispers of those around her.

"It's that weirdo again."

Someone in the crowd whispered,
and a couple of people stated their agreements.

She took a deep breath and closed her eyes,
willing herself not to crumble at their judgments.

Ignoring it can only take me so far.

It's taken me down a path of cowardliness and sorrow,
but it's the only way I know how to cope.
