- tenyente tells ibarra about his dad dying in jail
- don Rafael ibarra was the richest dude in town and everyone loved him
- but he still had some enemies/haters
- crisostomo left, his dad had troubles w/ damaso
- sabi daw padre damaso accused Rafael of not going to confession
- so there was some artilyero who threw a cane at a kid and the kid got injured
- but Surprise Surprise don Rafael to the rescue
- they kinda fight but the artilyero sucks so don Rafael was able to get out of the way
- and then the artilyero just falls on a rock, hits his head and dies
- Rafael brings the kid to the town hall for help
- Suddenly all his haters come out of nowhere and he gets arrested and gets blamed for things he didn't do 🙁🙁🙁
- Erehe = a Christian who doesn't believe everything the church teaches
- Pilibustero = kalaban ng prayles (friars) or the church
- Subersibo = someone who goes against the law
- All the rumors/blames/stuff broke don rafael's Cool exterior and he gets sick in prison; so before they could finish his case he died
- Ibarra is so shaken up, the driver of the carriage he rides thinks he's crazy
