Chapter 20 ♕ New Enemies

Start from the beginning

His glossy eyes meet mine, "I'm sorry." His voice cracked, which my broke my heart into tiny little pieces because I hate seeing him this way.

I slowly and my way over to him and engulfed him into a needed hug, "Its okay." I mumbled into his neck.

We silently held each other for quite sometime without saying a single word to one another. We both at the moment just needed to be held by someone will love. Cause a humans touch is more powerful than words could ever be.

Colby slowly pulled away from our warm embrace, causing me to shift a little since I was straddling him. His bloodshot eyes wander up to mine, "I think I want to take break." He whispered.

My heart sunk as those words left his lips, "From us?" My voice cracked as I asked.

Colby's pupils dilated, "Oh my gosh, no." He frantically said, before gently cupping my puff face, "Sorry, I should have worded it better. I mean like take a break from social media and just everyone who doesn't love me." He corrected himself.

A sigh of relief left my lips, "I noticed you haven't been the same since the last day of tour." I mentioned, "Can you please tell me why?" I begged.

I have noticed that Colby doesn't have that twinkle in his eyes like he used. Even though he still smiles and laughs, I can't help but feel like his hiding something behind it. I don't know if it's about me, the guys or even his fans. He just seems downer than usually. I wish he would open up more to me, but I know his afraid of being vulnerable, because that's a sign of weakness in his eyes, but it isn't in mines.

He hung his head low, "I don't know. I just feel like I need to spend more time with the people I love and who truly love me back. I just need to focus of them and myself for a little bit." He explained. I knew he was still hiding something from me, but I didn't want to try to even get it out of him, because of how fragile he was at the moment.

I gently placed two fingers underneath his chin and lifted it up, "You do what is best for you and only you. I will be here to support you no matter what, got it?" I whispered.

The corner of his lip tug up slightly, "Thank you." He whispered, before gently pecking my lips.

After talking with the rest of the house about Colby wanting to take a break, he decided to publicly announce it on social media to all his fans, before deleting all the social media apps on his phone.

My glossy were fixated at him, "I hope they support me on this." He sighed, before tossing his phone to the side.

"They are your fans, Colby. They will support you no matter what." I reassured him.

A weak smile appeared on his face, before he made his way over to me. He slowly sat down next to me on his bedroom floor. We silently sat there and just stared at the colorful sticky notes.

I could feel Colby's piercing stares on me, causing my emerald eyes to meet my favorite blue ones, "Why are you staring at me?" I asked.

"Because I love you." He simply said.

I shook my head at him with a dumb smile on my face, "I love you too." I whispered back.

A part of me feels guilty for that comment I had made earlier about him still wanting to be a player. And for even thinking that he would do me wrong. He seems to genuinely love me, but it was never that I didn't trust him. I just didn't trust the bad influencers he hung around with, because those brought out the old Colby and I didn't really like that Colby.

There was a light knock on the door that interrupted our little moment, "Its open." Colby said.

The door slowly opened revealing a worried Sam, "Have you checked your phone?" He asked Colby.

Colby quickly glanced at his phone that was on his messy bed, "No, why?"

A sigh left Sam lips, "Brennen tweeted something negative about Atmosphere and you."

My heart sank as I looked over at Colby, "What the fuck is this guy's problem." Colby hissed as he went to go grab his phone.

"What did he say?" My voice cracked as my watery eyes wander over to Sam.

"I'm sorry, Atmosphere. But I just don't feel comfortable saying it."

A sigh left my lips, "Does Jake know?"

A sigh left Sam's lips, "He kind of is in a Twitter fight with Brennen as we speak."

"Oh, no." I mumbled, before racing downstairs.

"This dumbass is really gonna tweet that to me." I heard Jake's voice boom from the living room.

My glossy eyes noticed all the roommates, plus Kat were now there, "Here tweet this back." Corey said to Jake.

I quickly grabbed Jake's phone from his hand, "Atmosphere, give that back now." He growled at me.

I took a step back, "No, you are not gonna ruin your career because of me."

He quickly stood up and try retrieving his phone back, "Atmosphere, I'm not kidding."

"No, stop." I snapped at him, "Sit, now." I demanded.

"Atmosphere, just give him his phone back, so we can tell that jerk off." Corey chimed.

"Ya, come on." Kat agreed as well.

"Everyone just shut up for a second and let me talk." I snapped at them, "You guys go sit down as well." I pointed to Sam and Colby who were standing behind me.

Once everyone sat down and kept quiet, I finally got to tell them what I needed to tell them for a while now, "From here on out, not a single one of you guys are gonna stand up for me to anyone whether it's on social media or in person..."

"You can't tell..."

I quickly interrupted my best friend, "Jake, I mean it." I said as I gave him a stern look. He rolled his eyes at me as he crossed his arms against his chest, "I'm not gonna let you guys destroy your careers because of me. So fuck what Brennen says and fuck what everyone else says as well. We just have to ignore it. And let's be honest here, no matter what nice things you guys say about me, no one will believe you guys. No one likes me, not a single fan of you guys' and I'm just gonna have to deal with that..."

My little speech was interrupted by the door bell, "I will go get it." Devyn said before walking.

"Atmosphere, I'm gonna stick up for you no matter. I could care less about my career if it's affecting the people I love." Colby said.

"Ya, you're our friend. You honestly think we are just gonna let people talk ill and spread lies about you and just let them get away with it." Aaron chimed in.

A groaning sound left my lips, "No, stop. I can handle the hate, so it shouldn't matter."

"Atmosphere, you have to be honest with yourself. I've literally seen how you react when the hate gets to be too much for you." Kat said, causing me to give her a look.

"What is she talking about, Atmosphere?" Jake asked.

"Nothing, its nothing." I shooed off his question, which only pissed him off even more.

"Atmosphere, if you don't tell us what the fuck Kat meant by that..."

"Guys." Devyn's voice boomed over all of ours. Which stop our little bricking back and forth with each other.

I shifted my body and faced her, "Atmosphere." She let out a shaky breath as her glossy eyes meet mine.

"Ya?"

"There's someone who would like to talk to you." She announced.

I eyed her, "Who?"

Devyn slowly stepped aside and there appeared someone who I never thought I will see again.
