When Lindsey was 12 years old her parents split up and her mom moved to North Carolina taking 12 year old Lindsey with her. Lindsey left behind her very best friend Bucky Barnes their dads were in the military together and had opened up their own me...
When Bucky returned home he didn't see Lindsey's car he went inside and looked down "Mom where's Linds." he said
"She said that was going to check something out and took Haven with her." Winnie said
Lindsey remembered that when her mom's dad passed away that he left her the family's farmhouse cottage that sat out on the Thomas family land. It was where her grandparents lived when they first got married then moved out of it once they had grandkids. She went by her grandma's house and got the key from her.
She drove up to the house and went inside with Haven on her hip "It could use a little TLC don't you think baby girl this will be our new home." she said as she checked all the floors and everything.
She went back by her grandma Edith's house and set up a monthly rent price and then went got electric turned on and other utility bills. She drove by a furniture store and started to pick things out and told them where to deliver it all too. She returned home and let Haven take a nap she found Bucky in their bedroom.
"Are you leaving me?' he said with tears.
"No I am not leaving you. But we are leaving so help me get packed" she said
"Where are we going now baby?' he said
"We are moving to the country I have a farmhouse cottage my grandpa on my mom's side left it to me. I sent up a rent price with my grandma already picked out furniture to be delivered and got everything turned on. I am not living here without you I rather be away from everyone then be here." she said with tears.
They loaded up both cars and with their stuff and Haven's stuff while their parents were at the hospital. When they got to the house Bucky seen the furniture store truck Lindsey let them in and told them where to put everything in the living room and the bedrooms.

"Baby it's perfect and look we have a big kitchen so we aren't on top of each other like we are at my parents house." he said
"Cause there is to many people there." she said

Haven walked around while they got things unpacked and they got settled in. When James and Winnie returned home they found the note laying on the counter top.
"Dear Mom and Dad,
We moved out and moved into Edith and Carter's old farmhouse. Lindsey doesn't feel comfortable here anymore she feels like nobody cares about our feelings. We will both graduate and seeing as I don't have much of a choice but to do the military now. My son will take the family name James cause I don't want a reminder of how my family betrayed me you went from being supportive and loving to down right hateful and I will not let my kids grow up like that. "

James called Gary and Laney and they came over and read the note. Gary sighed "First Brody and Mia and now them two." James said
Winnie looked down "I need to go lay down." as she wiped tears.
"Darlin' James said
Winnie just kept walking and James said "Great..now my wife hates along with my boys. Guess I'm sleeping on the couch." and he walked away.
Gary and Laney went home Gary laid there in the dark and shook his head as he thought to himself "What have I done dad."
That weekend Bucky and Lindsey put together their son's nursery after they decided on the name "Brady Lucas."
