Sluggishly, she opened her eyes. Star had the worst headache. The pounding of her head clouded the princess' thoughts. She couldn't recall anything that had happened. Star had no idea how she had become surrounded by the papery purple hearts, fluttering in the wind, and why she was emerging from a locker covered in taffy-like goo.
Still dazed, she emerged, standing up woozily. Her vision was blurry and unfocused. Star squinted, hoping to make out something familiar about her surroundings.
Suddenly, there's a red blur hurrying towards her. Arms squeezed her waist, pulling the future queen into a soft, warm hug. Star recognized the smell of his hoodie.
Marco.
Reassured instantly, Star smiled, wrapping her arms around him in return and closing her eyes in contentment.
She still has no clue what just happened, or why she can't seem to remember anything.
But Marco is here, so everything's okay.
