     "Is it done yet?" The intern asked, taking notes and watching the experimental robot curiously. The robot's LED eyes lit up.
     "Welcome to the world, experiment two-point-o" The scientist smiled at the robot. The robot tested it's facial features by wiggling them a bit, then smiled back.
     "Thank you... What is your name?" The robot could pull off enough facial features to look human, but it wouldn't be enough until the last modification was made.
     "I'm Dr.Alpha, I designed and worked effortlessly for years to create you and sometimes worked off no sleep for weeks at a time, you don't understand how happy I am that you are functioning even this much even if I haven't seen you prove your main purpose to be working"
     The robot looked confused for a second. "Happy?... Happy! If doctor dad is happy then I am happy!" The robot let out a noise that sounded like laughter, or giggles.
     The doctor smiled, this robot was like a child. It acted like one at least, and it was so sweet it's heartbreaking. Soon that would change, just like a human would. Dr.Alpha called it the aging cycle, or well, aging diagram.

Step 1:Birth or in 2.0's case, creation
Step 2:Innocence, usually the happiest
Step 3:Naive, not innocent, nor mature
Step 4:Either become smart or stay naive
Step 5:Naive
Step 6:Death, which this can also replace any steps 1.01-5 depending on what life a being has lived.

     While Dr.Alpha had zoned out 2.0 and the intern were talking, and 2.0 was pestering the poor kid with questions. "Who are you? Why do you have a notepad? What is your name? Do you have a name? Is it dark in here to you? Is his first name actually doctor? Why is my name 2.0?"
     "Don't confuse the poor intern 2.0, now we have some important matters to attend to." Dr.Alpha grabbed the intern's arm and whispered to him as they walked away. 2.0 watched as they did. He waited for them to come back... And waited... And waited... And got bored. 2 got up and walked in the direction he saw them leave. He hummed a small tune, he did not have any memories or had even listened to music before in his five-minutes of life but this tune felt familiar.
     "You're lucky that you even got to see his creation, do not ask of his purpose and you will never tell another soul what you have seen in these labs because we will find you, and you will regret your every life's decision!" Dr.Alpha held the kid by the shoulders. 2 wondered what he was doing? Was this a game? Could he play? What has he seen here?
     "Hello?" 2.0 called out. The doctor immediately took his hands off the intern.
     "Hello 2.0, you have learned how to get up and walk?"
     2 nodded. "What are you two doing?"
     The intern quickly grabbed his belongings and rushed out of the room, pushing past the robot.
     "Where do you think you're going?" Dr.Alpha grabbed the intern's bag before he could leave.
     "I quit!" The intern kicked Dr.Alpha's shin. "You people are crazy!"
     "We prefer the term intellectuals, and no one really leaves this place they usually are relieved... Of life" The doctor grabbed the intern and pulled him back.
     "What!?! Let go of me you maniac! The intern struggled as tears started to fall from his eyes. He kicked and shook as 2 watched. He could feel the fear radiating off the intern.
     "Well I guess it was nice working with you Tom, such a shame" A needle was injected into Tom's shoulder and suddenly he stopped moving, stopped struggling, stopped breathing or feeling fear... Tom collapsed. 2 would not understand that Tom had died until later. "Could you go back to your station please?"
     "What happened to Tom?" 2 tilted his head.
     "Tom is just sleepy"
     "Okay..."
