tongue tied. | escape

Jaehyun decided not to sleep, yet. He chose to stay up all night maybe, just thinking about Taeyong. He was practically messing up his control and just wanted to empty a box or two. He needed to relax somehow, and smoking was one thing he needs whenever he thinks about something that bothers him so much. The man sat at his outside balcony of his bedroom where there was a chair.

The breeze wept his dark brown locks as he smoke. Jaehyun was looking at the stars while he thinks deeply. He was really worried about Taeyong when he wasn't answering his phone. He needs an explanation of what's going on. Obviously, his parents didn't want their relationship but atleast let Taeyong explain everything to him.

Not like this. It won't end well if they keep doing this to him.

Jaehyun picked up his new phone, he bought a while ago and retrieved his SIM from the broke one, from the table beside him and called someone.

"Did I disturb you?"

"No, not much. Why'd you called?"

"I don't know what's going on, Jungwoo."

"Should I be the one saying that? Why? What happened? Did you and Taeyong have an arguement? I haven't forgiven you about last time, by the way."

"To make the long story short...I think Taeyong's parents rejected us."

"What?! How?"

"They saw me inside of the house, alone with Taeyong. Maybe they're that strict and didn't want to see their son with a guy, unless it's you. Then, a while ago, I waited for Taeyong come out with an explanation about what happened inside but his father came out to kick me away."

"No texts? No calls?"

"None...And I'm freaking out, right now. I don't know what happened to him right now."

"You know what, try to calm yourself. I'm sure he's fine, you have nothing to worry about. You can talk to him on Monday."

Jaehyun let out a shaky exhale.

"Okay...But could you check him for me?"

"Sure, Jaehyun. I'll text you if I get in touch with him tomorrow."

"Thanks, Jungwoo."

"Good night, Jaehyun."

After the call, Jaehyun hasn't calmed himself. He wanted to know how is Taeyong right now. Tomorrow is a big day for them and he wanted it to special--He will make it special because Taeyong deserved that kind of treatment.

Monday morning, Jaehyun looked miserable. Probably most of you know why.

A dinner date should be sophisticated, love-is-in-the-air vibe, intimate and special. But last night wasn't really a night to remember for him, for the both of them as well. Jaehyun was already at an expensive restaurant--the table was set, the food is ready to serve and the music in the background was ready to play. The venue is a place for Taeyong to feel special because Jaehyun's ready to spend and give everything for the boy.

But no Lee Taeyong came.

He texted the venue, the address of the venue but no one came. He waited for Taeyong for hours until midnight, but no sign of his soon-to-be boyfriend.

The bouquet of tulips was ready for the waiter to give to Taeyong when he'll finally decide to drink his water, because Taeyong's not yet up for any alcohol, where he should see the phrase 'Will you be my boyfriend?' that is stuck on the outside bottom of the glass cup.

But none of it happened.

No one can't blame Jaehyun. He just hoped, he hoped for Taeyong to come. Even though his father might've threatened his own son not to, he still hoped for him to come.

"Jaehyun!"

Jaehyun looked from behind to see Jungwoo catching up to him.

"I'm sorry, but Taeyong didn't answer his phone. I decided to visit him at his house but his mother told me that he was sick. I didn't get to tell you yesterday, you seemed to be busy with your phone," Jungwoo looked really agitated as he fidgeted his fingers, "I'm sorry, Jaehyun."

Jaehyun shook his head and gave the boy a weak smile, "No, thank you, Jungwoo. I actually broke my phone but I bought a new one so you can still text me."

The boy nodded, "I'll text you if he ever attends class," he said before leaving.

Jungwoo walked into the building with no one in the hallways. He was obviously late already. He ran to where his class should be hoped that the professor hasn't come in. Suddenly, he found someone coming into the registrar office.

It was Taeyong's mother.

Jungwoo immediately ran out and decided to ditch class. He pulled out his phone to call Jaehyun and told about Taeyong's mother in the registrar office and the possibility that Taeyong's alone in the house. Jaehyun told him to wait in the parking lot.

They met and immediately got into Jaehyun's car. Jaehyun drove pretty fast, making Jungwoo nervous but both of them just want to see Taeyong if he's fine or not. The biggest question going onto both minds was why Taeyong's mother visited the office.

It didn't take long until they arrived at the subdivision. Jaehyun parked a few meters away from the house to keep them away from getting caught if ever someone else is inside. Jungwoo take Jaehyun to the backyard and took the ladder that was leaned against the shed. They moved it to where Taeyong's window is.

"I'll try and go first. Wait for my signal, okay, Jaehyun?"

Jaehyun nodded before Jungwoo climbed. The curtain window was surprisingly opened but the window was closed. But what's important was that Taeyong was only lying down on the bed, his body facing Jungwoo's direction. Taeyong got surprised and immediately broke down when he finally saw Jungwoo.

The mute immediately stood up to open the window and both of the friends hugged tightly. Taeyong helped Jungwoo to get in to his room. Just as he was about to close the window, he saw someone else and quietly cried for his touch.

As soon as Jaehyun got into the room, he hugged Taeyong tightly. He rested his head against the smaller's shoulder. Taeyong hugged back and cried on his chest.

"Oh, sweetheart..."

Taeyong sniffled and pulled away.

'I don't want to leave you. I don't want to go. Mom will drop me out of school and transfer me into a school far away from here. Please, help me.'

Jungwoo rubbed his friend's back as he cried on the man's chest. Jaehyun looked at Jungwoo, asking him if they should get Taeyong out.

"Jaehyun, it's too dangerous."

"Fuck them!" Jaehyun shout-whispered the words as he protectively hugged Taeyong, "I can't just let them hurt Taeyong!"

Just as they were about to argue, they heard the door knob being unlocked by someone on the other side.
