I've got my girl on my mind
and I miss her all the time
and she makes me feel
like everything's just right
tells me it just takes time
I always told her
I'd miss you when you're gone
and she gave me a smile
said "It's time to move on,

you fell way too hard
and just way too fast
so believe me when I say:"
"It's quite alright
it just takes some time
babygirl don't you cry
you're gonna be just fine."
I can't do a thing
except stare at the lights
hospital ceiling
and I've got my girls words
running in my mind
