"grace?" george shook me lightly
"we are here" he mumbled, i rubbed my head and looked around me to see we were just outside the festival
"where's everyone else?" i asked
"not here yet so we can either go in or just wait here" he told me
"i think we should wait he will me more mad" i muttered, george nodded and pulled out his phone i assumed to text matty. i pulled out my phone too

sighing i ignored the message, it was kind of george to step up for me and make matty realise what he was putting me in an uncomfortable position but at the same time it now put me and matty in an uncomfortable position. i didn't want to let it ruin our day but he had completely disregarded all my feelings. he knew i was trying my best with gabby and denise despite the fact they hated me. i tried to shrug it off but it stayed around me, hovering in the air

"they're here" george said pointing to the blacked out car across the parking lot, i gave him my best smile
"let's go" i said shakily trying to not rly my voice waver. i think he understood this because he grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
we got out of the car, thanking the driver, and walked towards the boys, gabby, denise and carly. carly smiled at me, staying beside gabby, and denise scowled. i simply smiled back and turned to ross
"it's so warm how are you not sweating!", ross laughed
"i am!" , i giggled along with him before matty met my eye contact and pulled me into a hug
"i'm sorry" he whispered into my hair, i looked up at him and nodded, he was doing what he thought was right, it wasn't truly his fault.
jamie walked over soon after and grinned at us all
"let's get this show on the road then!" , the boys all smiled at him clearly excited and carly kissed adam
"i'm so proud of you!" she told him, denise did the same to matty and gabby just stayed smiling.

"okay so here are your backstage passes" the man who worked at madcool told us handing us lanyards
"wear them at all times and if you have any issues there's a number to call on the back" he added.
as soon as matty our the lanyard round his neck he grinned madly, clearly ecstatic that him and his boys had made it, even if it was to the bottom of the line up like george said. they had to start somewhere and here was as good a place as any.
"so who are we seeing until we perform?" matty asked hooking his arm around my waist
"is there anyone you're interested in?" i asked, he smiled at me
"let's just knock around and see where we end up?"
"it sounds perfect" i told him, i just wanted to walk around in the heat with the cool grass having a good time, i'm glad matty did too

"you have one hour and then be back or god help you" jamie joked but with a stern face
"yes dad!" matty said back mocking him, jamie smiled and told us to take care and be safe.
our first stop was a truck to get water, it was hot and i knew matty worried about me in this heat
"omg! matty healy? can i .. could i get a photo?" a beautiful girl around my age gushed, she was wearing a lace white brallette paired with black ripped denim shorts and nike air force, her hair was scraped into a messy bun and she had glitter around her cheeks. i guess she was who i thought i'd be at a festival, i smiled at her while matty took the pitot and they stood chatting about the boys set
"what sons are you playing?" she asked, her girl covering her whole face, matty tapped his nose
"jamie would KILL me if i gave anything away, but i promise it's a good set" , the girl smiled before hugging him one last time and running off to find her friends
"she was sweet!" i commented, matty smiled at me, i knew he loved it when fans met him

"let's go over there!" i begged matty as soon as i saw a crowd of people round the stage that charlie xcx was performing at
"thought you didn't want to see anyone specific" he teased
"pleaseeeee" i begged knowing he would come anyway
"come on then!" he said taking my hand as we walked over to join the crowd

"HOW YOU FUCKING FEEL GUYS?" charlie shouted into the crowd, we all screamed back at her, i saw matty join in
"THATS WHAT I THOUGHT, SO LETS FUCKING GO" she screamed while the music started up and everyone began to jump, mattys hand found mine while we joined in with the crowd, we didn't get involved in a mosh pit for obvious reasons of i'm pretty sure that's on a "what not to do" list when you're pregnant, but it was such good fun anyways.
she played a couple more songs and me and matty shared the water as the sun was teri g even hotter, he also lent me his sunglasses
"they are TOO big" i laughed while they slid down my face, he caught them and pushed them back onto the bridge of my nose 
"you look beautiful" he told me
"i look like matty healy the rockstar" i laughed back at him
"oi behave" he mused kissing me on the tip of my nose

half way through the set matty whispered into my ear
"babe we have to go" , i looked at him and smiled, i was sad to miss the set but i knew the boys performance was going to be amazing
"come on then!" i told him as we walked back to find jamie and the boys.
we were nearly back when security stopped us so we made our lanyards new visible
"through you go" they said sternly letting us pass. as soon as jamie saw us he grinned
"good time?" he asked
"the best!" i gushed still holding mattys hand
"okay well you go on soon mate so go stand with the guys, i think ross is nervous" jamie told him as we walked over to where the boys were standing
"i cant believe we are here" adam said barley audible
"me neither" ross added
"i'm so proud of us" matty told the boys, i nodded in agreement
