the days started off the same, wake up, get dressed go to college. everything had started to blur. until now, on friday i would be seeing matty and his band perform and i don't know what it was, but it genuinely drove me to wake up. i headed to the bus stop to find lia already there
"hello gracey my babe i've missed you" she said pulling me into a vanilla warm hug before holiday me at arms length to admire what i was wearing
"denim skirt? love, stripped shirt? love, teddy bear jacket that you stole from me? LOVE gracey you look gorgeous"
it was now my turn to complement my stunning bestfriend
"skinny jeans? fit, bardot yellow top? fit, leather jacket you stole from ME? fit fit fit fit, lia you're fit" giggling she pulled me into another hug
"man do i have some stories for. you, ive been a VERY busy girl these past weeks. sorry i dipped" she said half smiling and biting her lip nervously
"it's okay! i missed you though don't go awol again"
"i won't i promise" she said as the bus appeared, the boys already on at the back.
we payed before waking to them
"hey" matty treated me warmly
"this is george, adam and ross, guys this is grace and lia right?"
lia blushes at the fact he knew her name
"yeah it is nice to meet you all" she said
"grace?"
"george"
"you two know eachother?" matty asked confused
"yeah we met yesterday" i said
the bus started to take off and we all settled into our seats
"so grace, matty tells me you're coming to the gig on friday?"
"yeah! of course, i haven't heard your work but i'm excited!"
"are you coming?" george looked at lia while she flustered and struggled to find her words
"yeah, yeah if you want" she said batting her eyelashes. oh god i thought.
i turned to adam and ross to try and start a conversation
"so, tell me everything and anything"
adam chuckled and ross let out a laugh
"we are the quiet ones if you didn't know" ross said
"yeah shy" adam added
"well quiet and shy are just my cup of tea sorry no coffee, so i think we are gonna get along fine"
they both laughed at my words
"what do you guys do in the band then?"
"guitar"
"guitar"
"i tried to learn once ... terrible" again the both laughed as the bus drew up outside college
"here we go lads" matty said as he threw his arm around me
"see you soon, lunch?" matty asked me
"yeah! see you boys at lunch" as we went our separate ways into our very different lessons
