'You do know destiny isn't real, right?' She asked.
'What do you mean destiny isn't real?' I said in a mocking tone.
'Destiny is for losers, dumbass.' She said then laughed like I was some dumb high school kid who can't add 1+1.
'Losers are people like you who doesn't believe in anything!' I said loud enough for the message to enter that brain of hers she absentmindedly closed. She looked at me and said 'Hey! I believe in God! I believe at some things just not petty things like you!'
I laughed at her statement and said 'God? There's no such thing. You call destiny petty, God is pettiest!' Then I continued to laugh.
'Do you believe in love?' She said changing the subject.
'Nope' I answered emphasizing the 'p' sound.
'Maybe that's why you don't believe in God, because you don't believe in love.'
'You know what? I'll prove to you that God is real.' She continued as I stare at her with full boredom.
'Hey! I'm serious!' she screamed which earned a laugh from me.
'Fine! Well, what happens if you fail?' I asked
'Well...' she trailed off
'We'll figure it out in the end.' I suggested which she agreed and where I earned a smile from her.
A smile I can never forget.
