After getting to a safe area, Zim and the others could finally get some rest. However, something seemed to grab the attention of the Irken. Zim got up, and began walking somewhere. "Hey, where do you think you're going?" Hannah asked as she and the others followed Zim.
Zim didn't notice the girls behind him, but he suddenly stopped when he saw a strange looking stone at his feet. He looked up, and saw a bunch of pieces of stone and wood buildings all in rubble.
Time stopped around Zim. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. This world actually had a whole civilization, before total disaster and destruction was brought here by Sinister. Before him, were a bunch of ruins that were actually the remains of homes and shops. Zim walked over to one of the ruins, and pulled out his scanner from his Pak. There was some strange looking dust on this ruin in particular. Zim scanned the dust, and looked at the results. The ruin that he was standing in front of, was actually a small part remaining from some kind of daycare, or nursery, and the dust, was actually ashes from many young beings.
Zim's hand began shaking, but he went over to another ruin, that had even more ashes on it. He was about to scan it, when something else caught his attention. It was an oval shaped object covered in dust, and under a piece of ruin. He pushed a piece of ruin aside to get a better look at it. More dust, all in one clump. He scanned it, as he brushed away some of the dust.

Zim gasped out of shock and dropped his scanner. He grabbed the Irken Pak from the ground, and looked inside it, looking for any kind of ID tag or card to show who it belonged to. He managed to find and pull out a ID card.
The card was pretty damaged, so much that the profile picture was completely gone. The only thing that remained, was the name of the holder...

Zim dropped to the ground. His breath and body were shaking. He didn't know that the girls were approaching him from behind. He couldn't believe it. He didn't want to believe that he was currently sitting in ashes. The world was spinning around him. He began getting flashbacks, of when he still lived on his home planet. All the damaged he caused, not even aware of how many lives could have been lost by him. He couldn't see clearly, he was blinded by his tears. This fellow invader was just doing his job. He didn't need to die like this.
Zim didn't even realize that he was now bawling on the ground. The girls noticed that he was having a panic attack, and Eren tried to comfort him.
Zim didn't know why, but he stopped sobbing, and fell straight into Eren's arms, to which she embraced him, calming him down a bit. That's a lot to go through in a short amount of time. It will be ok, we will find the others.
And we will return home...
