Dragons and Human's together? Impossible ... right?

Backing up in surprise I weakly say: "Are you are a Night Fury?" The dragon in question tilted his head before nodding. Looking at the Fury before me I see that it's a male. I get up off of my haunches and circle him. When seeing his tale I hold back a gasp of shock. One of his tail fins was replaced with a red thing. Tilting my head I lean in closer to try and get a better look at his tail. All of a sudden his tail moves and on reflex I reach up to catch it. Realizing what I'm doing I back off and bow my head in embarrassment. "Hey, why so glum chum?" I look up into his vivid green eyes. "I'm sorry for staring at your tail". He gives a confused look before laughing and giving me a playful nudge. "It's okay. I'm NightSky, but my friends call me Toothless". I feel like I can trust NightSky. He seems like a pretty chill dragon. "I'm StarFire. Toothless is a very odd nickname. Why do your friends call you that?" "Oh well, it's cause I can retract my teeth at will. Also what kind of dragon are you? You look like me, but your appearance tells me otherwise". To be honest I thought he knew what I was. "I'm a Fire Fury. I'm the last of my kind". I don't know why I told him this maybe I just wanted to tell him that he's not alone with being that last one of his kind. He gives a shocked look before it turns into one of understanding. Before we could converse more a strange noise reached my ears. It sounded like leaves being rustled before a thud and then nothing. Looking for the source of the noise I see a ... fleshbag? He looks so small. I find it strange how fur grows on top of their head and nothing else besides their face. NightSky starts prancing over to the fleshbag that may have fallen into the cove. I back up until I deem it a safe distance from the skinny fleshbag. Getting a gander at the fleshbag he has brown fur on his head and has green eyes similar to NightSky's. Speaking of NightSky he is currently licking the fleshbag!! What? "Hey, boy!! I was wondering where you went. Come on the others are waiting for us". Well, at least he's not hurting NightSky. I decide to leave before I was tackled into the ground. Acting upon instinct I flip whoever is on my back and pin them to the ground. My amber eyes turn into slits, but before anything else happens I freeze. Looking at who I have pinned beneath me I see it's NightSky. Letting him up I quickly backed away and gave him an apologetic look. He just shakes his head before pushing me into the direction of the fleshbag. I try and fail to stop him. He soon has me in front of the fleshbag who says: "Whoa!! Looks like you made a friend". He then starts to take a step towards me which makes me jump behind NighSky and growl a warning at him. NightSky turns around to look at me then back at the fleshbag. He then moves behind me and pushed me towards the fleshbag ... again. The fleshbag holds his hand out with his palm facing me. "I won't hurt you. My name is Hiccup and you are on Berk where dragons and humans co-exist".

He then turns his head away from but leaves his hand still facing me. I start walking up to his hand before sniffing it. What I smelt had me leaning my head on his palm. I smelt other dragons on him so that means he's telling the truth. I never thought humans and dragons could live together. Pulling my head away from his hand I go back to NightSky's side. NightSky gives me a gummy smile which I try to mimic but my fangs get in the way which made it seem like I was snarling. He starts to laugh before jumping around me and then going to Hiccup's side. "Come on girl". I tilt my head before looking at NightSky who nodded his head. So with a little bit of hesitation, I started to follow them out of the cove and into a village. Whatever the humans/dragons were doing seemed to stop when they got a look at me. They started to come closer which spooked me and made me go into huntress mode. I get low into a crouch position before growling mercilessly at them. Some of the step back all except for five fleshbags that look to be about Hiccup's age. What surprised me the most is that they had dragons standing behind them. The blonde had a blue Deadly Nadder, the buff brunette had a red Nightmare, a chubby blonde had a brown Gronkle, and then these look-alike fleshbags had a green Hideous Zippleback.

Still keeping my defenses up I stay in my position but I did stop growling. I could only look at the fleshbags along with the dragons with curiosity. "Hiccup what in Odin's beard is that!?" The tall blonde girl says. While the fleshbags were conversing I went over to the dragons who moved a few ways back. "Hey, guys!! Meet my new friend StarFire!!" NightSky says. "Hi". I say to all of them. "How do you do? I am Meatlug". The Gronkle who I now know is Meatlug says. I give a nod so that she knows I heard her. "Let's speed things up, shall we? The Nadder is Stormfly, the Zippleback's are Barf & Belch and the Nightmare is Hookfang." NightSky tells me. I start jumping up and down before taking off into the sky and doing a somersault before landing back. The other dragons along with the fleshbags give me shocked looks. I just turn my gaze away from them. All of sudden a gruff burly looking flesbag comes up to Hiccup and starts yelling at him for something one of the dragons did. Before I knew it was in front of Hiccup taking up a defensive position. Shocked the older flesbag took a few steps back before glaring at me. I move from my position before backing away slowly. The older fleshbag reminds me of someone I want to forget. "Dad you are scaring her," Hiccup says. The father stops glaring at me and directs his attention to his son. "She will be your responsibility". Hiccup only nods his head before his father walks past us. It seems like Hiccup and his father have a weird relationship. But who am I to judge. "Whoa!! Look the new dragon has a red streak on her forehead!!" The chubby blonde boy says. I'm guessing he wanted to ease the tension. "Great observation, Fishlegs". Hiccup says. The two look-alike fleshbags who I learn are called twins take a few steps towards me. They then start to make weird noises that scare me. Believing that they are threatening me I shot a smoke bomb near them. The twins jumped back and ran to hide behind the group of fleshbags. "Hahahaha!!" The buff brunette laughs. "Snotlout that is not funny!! Ruffnut and Tuffnut could've gotten hurt!!" The tall blonde girl yelled. What!? The shot I fired wouldn't have hurt them anyway if they were hit. They'd just be covered in soot. "Astrid calm down. It was only smoke. I mean what kind of dragon has a weak power like that!?" Snotlout says. At his words, my eyes turn into slits and my fangs make their appearance. (I hide my fangs in my mouth most of the time. They don't retract if that's what you're thinking. Oops I broke the 4th wall didn't I?) Weak!? I'll have him know that I am anything but weak. Before I can pounce on him I'm hit with a heat blast. It knocks me down but not out. I growl at the dragon who did that. Hookfang growls back at me and tells me that I can't hurt his human. "Is that a bet?" I rudely retort. He glares daggers at me before he tackles me. I claw his face while he pins my wings to my sides. I smoke bomb him in his face which blinds him for a few seconds. I push him off of me before smacking him. Thinking I won the battle I stupidly turn my back to him. All I felt was heat then my face was pushed to the ground. I squirm in Hookfang's hold before his presence is suddenly gone. Getting on my paws I turn to see that NightSky had pushed Hookfang off of me and is growling. "Leave her alone!!" he yells. Hookfang mumbles something before walking away. I look at NightSky and see that he's in a protective stance. Wait ... was he protecting me? Why? I'm snapped out of my trance by NightSky. "Are you okay, Streaks?" Who? Oh, it's me, isn't it? Just to be sure. "Whose, Streaks?" "That's you silly!! When you were fighting the streak on your forehead glowed". It did? Huh, the more you know. "You didn't answer my question". "Oh, I'm fine". I lie. I was in pain. I forgot how strong Nightmares are and how sharp their claws are. "Really!? 'Cuz you have a cut on your side". Looking at my side I see what NightSky is talking about. It's pretty small and should heal in an hour. "It's nothing". He gave me a skeptical look before dropping the subject. "Oh my Odin!! Did you see that!? I knew she was weak!! She had to have Toothless come to her aid!!" Snotlout yelled to the others. Having enough with being called weak I leaped at Snotlout before growling in his face. "Um ... guys? A little help?" The other fleshbags laughed before Hiccup told me to get off of Snotlout. I got off of him, but not before hitting him in the face with my tail. I head to NightSky when all of a sudden I smelt something. It smelt like ... Fire!! "NightSky there's a fire!!" I yelled. Not waiting for a response I took off in the direction the fire is coming from. When reaching the fire I see a wooden cave. "AAAHHH!! Someone help my child is still in the house!!" House? So, that is what the wooden cave is called. No, get it together StarFire. By the time the others get her the child will die. It is now or never. I fly into the burning building and search for the child. Going deeper into the house I see the child. She's covered in soot and appears to be stuck. I pick up the child before exiting the building. And just in time to. The moment I left was when the house collapsed. Not looking where I was going I bumped into a tree and that sent me along with the child crashing. Before I hit the ground I cover the child with my body. "Oof". Uncurling my body I check to see if the child is okay. She looks into my eyes before wrapping her little arms around my head. Not knowing what to do I stayed still. "Amaya!! Oh, you are okay!!" The mother yells. Amaya stops what she is doing before running to her mom and yells: "Yeah and it's all thanks to FireFly!!" I tilt my head. My name is not FireFly. The mom turns her attention to me and gives a grateful smile. "What happened!?" Turning to my left I see Hiccup along with the rest of his group standing a few feet away from the burnt down house. "My house caught on fire and my poor Amaya was still in there. Then this dragon saved her before the house fell down". "Yeah, FireFly saved me!!" Getting on my paws I walk towards Hiccup. "Good job, girl!! Or should I say FireFly? How does that name sound to you?" Pondering his question I answer by nodding my head really fast. He directs his attention to the mother and girl. "Don't worry we'll rebuild the house. You can stay in one of the shelters until your house is fixed." The mom along with Amaya say their thanks before leaving. Hiccup pats my head before conversing with the other fleshbags. The other dragons just lay down. Following their example, I too laid down. NightSky came over to me before lying next to me. "So, FireFly how you like Berk?" I reply; "I think I'm going to like it here". I soon start to feel tired and a few minutes later I was asleep.
