Writing Practise: Draft Progress #1

I'm gonna write a pretty standard story about whatever comes to mind. It might not be good at first.💕

I will edit until I am happy with the end result💞

Soloria trotted down the ratchet jade green carpet of the ill-lit library. School library to be precise, trying her hardest not to make even the sparsest noise.

She knew she was supposed to be in bed right now and that her roommate was probably worried about her getting caught but it didn't matter right this moment.
Besides, when on this earth did Lola ever care about other people? That self-centred brat only cared for herself and whether her nail broke or not.

'That's not true." She reminded herself as she discreetly waved her hands around to make sure she was on track.

Soloria looked up.

The library really was something. Even though it was undeniably old fashioned and looked like it could fall apart any moment now, the school seemed really hesitant to get it redone.

In front of her was a tall bookshelf featuring novels with dazzling colours for covers.

The extensive window above revealing the starry night sky gave her just enough light, although dim to see.

'Time to get to work...' Soloria thought as she thrust a lock of her sandy blonde hair behind her ear.

Trying to be as silent as humanly possible she pulled the books, one by one out of they're once immaculate position and onto a nearby table.

Book after book came off the shelf time was moving a little too slowly for the girl.

Becoming a hostile with her actions sped up her pace and soon she would be done.

She reached up high to grab the next royal blue covered, dusty book.

But a soon as it slid off the shelf Soloria heard the faintest Clink.

She stood still.

A few seconds passed before she decided it was now okay to look down.

"What are you doing here, Solo?" Someone asked

Soloria took a deep breath before turning around, both hands stuck up in surrender.

She took a lingering look until she figured out who it was.
Putting her arms down the blonde smirked.

"You sure have big eyes for an Asian girl," She replied.
