Connor x Child!Reader

His head tilts and his expression softened, "Its Ok.. I am unarmed"

I slowly place my hand in his and he gently pulls me up.

I attempt to cover my arm from him, but he noticed.

His head tilted slowly like a dog, "You are hurt" His eyes blink slowly and his LED turns a dandelion yellow, "You need help"

"I-im fine" I stutter, cradling my arm, which was covered in blood from a knife driving through it several times.

"You are losing too much blood. You need care" He says, like hes insisting.

I look up at him, into his brown eyes, "Just let me die.." I sniffle.

Without any acknowledgement, Connor picks me up and cradles me in his arms.

My eyelids drooped slightly and Connor mumbles to one of the officers about something as I fall asleep in his arms.

"Connor! Why did you just steal a human child from a crime scene!"

"She was left there! Alone! Left to die!"

I jolt awake and find a big Saint Bernard sprawled on my small stature. Its tail starts wagging and he cautiously faces me.

I giggle as he sniffs my face and i pet him.

"Oh no! The officers wouldve taken care of her!" A voice yells from the other room.

"She was in need of help! So I decided to take action!" Another voice yells.

"Connor" i whisper

"She was fine!"

"No she wasn't! A few more minutes and she wouldve lost too much blood from her wounds!"

I rub my eyes and wrap the blanket around me, slowly walking behind the big dog into the kitchen.

"Connor..?" I mumble.

He stops his argument and looks at me, his face softened. "Good morning (Y/N)! Im sorry if we woke you.."

"Its ok" I say, smiling a little.

The other man grunted and made me jump, going behind Connor for protection.

"Its ok, hes just a grumpy old man" He says, picking me up and placing me on his hip.

I wipe my eyes and smile, glancing back at the man.

"Fine keep her" The man says, leaving the room. 

Connor looks at me and smiles, "Did you already meet Sumo?"

He motions to the dog.

I nod, "Hes nice" I look back at Connor, "Who was that man?"

"He was Lieutenant Anderson. Or Hank." He pauses, "He didnt like how i brought you here and cared for your wounds as you slept.."

My head slowly nods, "Oh"

"You hungry? I can get you some food?"

"You are not having her stay at my place!" Hank yells from another room.

Connor rolls his eyes and puts some waffles in the toaster, placing me back down, "So, what do you like to do?"

I look up at the celling, "I like amusement parks"

Connor grabs the waffles from the toaster, "I know a place, but its pretty far away.. And might be abandoned.." He hands me my waffles, "We Can check it out though?" He leans in, "Hank would probably like you to leave anyway"

I giggle, biting into my waffle, nodding, "Sure" i say with a mouthful of waffles.

"Alright, ill find you some clothes and we'll be on our way"

Connor walks out, leaving me in the kitchen with Sumo by my feet.

He perks up when I call him, my hand rubs his fluffy neck as he wags his tail.
