Betrayal

"Please just let me explain let me tell you what happened"

She swings the door open and glares at me. Her eyes were red and puffy and she had tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I don't want to know about you sucking face with your ex!"

"It's not like that baby I swear, just let me in"

She glares at me before she moves aside and lets me in. She shuts the door behind me.

"Start explaining" she says crossing her arms across her chest.

"Lulu, I love you Okay. You're the only one for me-"

"I don't want to hear any of your excuses! Just tell me what the hell happened! And I want the truth"

"When she came by she said she still loved me"

Lacey's face drops and so do her hands.

"She said she missed me and was sorry, she said she was stupid and she regretted it"

Her eyebrows furrow as I explain it to her.

"I told her to get out, I didn't believe a word she said. But she begged me to believe her and forgive her. She said she knows deep down that i still love her too and then before I could say anything or react she kissed me"

She hangs her head and a look of pain flashes across her face.

"I pushed her off and told her to leave lulu, I swear nothing happened. I wouldn't do that to you I couldn't." I say reaching out to her.

"Why didn't you just tell me?"

"I didn't know how"

She looks up at me tears still streaming down her face.

"It was nothing lulu I promise you. Nothing happened"

A sob escapes her lips and I pull her into a hug, she wraps her arms around my torso and sobs into my chest.

"I'm sorry baby, I'm so sorry, please stop crying lulu"

I say running my hand down her hair and kissing the top of her head.

"Im so sorry Jonas" she says through the sobs.

"Don't be sorry baby" I whisper in her ear.

"I'm sorry I overreacted. I know you wouldn't do that, I just, I got jealous. I mean she's perfect and I'm-"

I cut her off

"You're everything lulu. You're beautiful, funny, smart, witty, sarcastic, gorgeous, talented, sexy as hell and you're all mine. Don't ever feel less that that because you're a goddess. I love you so much lulu."

She chuckles.

"You're such a charmer. But I love it. I'm sorry. I love you Jonas"

I wipe the tears from her eyes with the pads of my thumbs and kiss her cheek.

"You're the best baby, I don't know what I'd do without you" I whisper to her before kissing the top of her nose.

"Can you forgive me lulu?"

She nods her head with a smile.

"There's nothing to forgive"

I smile at her and lean down to kiss her.

"Wait, you did wash your mouth after she kissed you right?"

I laugh .

"Of course I did lulu"

"Good"

She wraps her arms around my neck and kisses me.

My phone starts ringing.

I ignore it and continue to kiss her.

My phone rings again.

"Jonas"

I ignore her

"Jonas, you might want to get that"

"They can wait" I growl before planting my lips on hers again.

My phone rings a third time. I groan as I pull away from her a take it out of my pocket.

"It's my mom" I say to her as she pants to catch her breath.

"Answer it"

I hit the green button and hold the phone up to my ear.

"Hello?"

"Honey why haven't you been answering your phone?"

"I've been busy" I say glancing at Lacey.

"Jonas you promised you'd keep your phone on you!"

"I know mom I'm sorry, what happened?"

Theres silence at the other end.

"The doctors can't do anything for him. I'm sorry honey, they're taking him off of the life support tomorrow afternoon. He wants to see you"

A lump forms in my throat.

"What?" I ask with a shaky voice.

"I'm sorry honey."

"I have to go"

"Honey-"

I hang up.

"Jonas? What happened?" Lacey asks placing a hand on my arm.

"It's my dad, they're taking him off life support tomorrow, I need to go see him"

"Okay, we can leave first thing in the morning, I'll pack a bag"

"Thank you lulu"

I really didn't know what I would do without her. She was an angel sent to me and I was going to keep her all to myself. I didn't care if it was selfish. I needed her.
