Lo woke up to the fresh smell of pancakes, bacon, and martian style eggs. She opened her eyes, desperate to get out of the bed.

Instead, she rolled off the bed onto the uncomfortable hard floor.

"Oof," said May, looking out of the kitchen to see Lo still wrapped in her blankets on the floor, "Good morning sunshine."

Lorence gave May the evil eye before unwrapping herself and standing up.

"Guess what I made?" May said, grinning at herself.

Lo put on a smug look and said, "Hell on a plate?"

May threw an oven mitten at her, which made Lo fall back onto the bed, before receding back to the kitchen.

"No... I'm making breakfast. You know, the thing you eat in the morning? NOT cereal? And can I please add what an amazing cook I am?" May poked her head out of the kitchen. Behind her back was another oven mitten, because she knew the next thing Lo would-

"Cook? You can barely find the sugar in our kitchen back at home, which, may I add, is labeled?"

Lo dodged the incoming mitten by an inch before it hit the wall, but she rolled the wrong way, and fell back onto the floor.

"Thats the mitten saying, 'May can cook perfectly.'"

Lo smelt the slight smell of something burning. "And thats the eggs saying, 'I don't think so!'"

"CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP," May yelled, dashing to the pan that held the burnt eggs. She picked them up before throwing them into the trash can, sticking her tongue out as she did so. "I guess we're having pancakes and bacon for breakfest today..."

"Nope," said Lo, walking over to May, who was setting the table. "Launch Day. Can't eat or my teammates first impression of me will be pancakes and throw up floating through space."

May chuckled at her friends joke.

"More for me then-" May stopped halfway, frowning. "I wish we could spend more time together here... I was hoping that you could teach me the language instead of some martian baby show."

Lo set her hand on her friends shoulder, "I'll be back."

"I know, but I was hoping you could at least stay for the mayor's take off speech..."

"May, you know I'm the person he's wishing good luck, right? Well technically, I'm one of the six astronauts."

"Yeah, but you'll be the only person I'm cheering on."

They both looked at each other and held the trance for a few seconds before May sat down and started eating the pancakes that were on what-was-supposed-to-be Lo's plate.

"At least you'll be there to say goodbye..."

                                                                                          +=-=+

"And your sure you have everything?" May asked, sounding like a mother.

They were outside the Astronaut Corridors and Launch bay, and Lo was busy trying to stop May from ripping up her suitcase as she dug through it.

"For the last time yes." Lo answered.

"Cause if you did, well this is your last chance cause we're right outside the god damn ship which looks awesome. So if you forgot, then too bad."

"My god, I didn't forget anything."

"I'll text you all the words the mayor said so you can translate it and I will cry because HOPEFULLY ITS BEAUTIFUL RIGHT?????"
