" ee " = meet, feel, see, free.

" ea " = team, reach, mean, sea.

" ie " et " ei " = belief, piece, neither, receive

Le " e " final = me, we, she, he.

" e " + consonne + " e " = these, Chinese, Peter.

" y " final = city, duty, country, ability.

Mots se terminants par " -ique " = critique, boutique, unique.

Phrasespour s'exercer:

The employees agreed to meet at eight fifteen.

(Lesemployées sont d'accord pour se rencontrer à huit heures quinze)

Don't keep the TV near the heater.

(Negarde pas la TV près du chauffage)

It's extremely easy to cheat when the teacher isn't here.

(C'estextrêmement facile de tricher quand le professeur n'est pas ici)

" i " = sit, give, this, dinner.

" ui " = build, quit, quick, guilty.

" Y " entre deux consonnes = system, gym, symbol, hymn.

Exceptions:

" Been ": en anglais américain, ce mot est prononcé comme le mot "bin". En anglais britannique, "been" recemblera à "bean".

" Women " = sonne comme " wimin " (le "o" est un / ɪ/)
