"Then after 5 years, you're talking to each other as if nothing happened."

"We'll that was 5 years ago, Cal. Hindi ko na dapat gawing big deal ang nangyari. Besides, he has a family now. May anak na nga eh. And again, I did not fall for him, okay?"

"Okay. Sabi mo eh. So, nakailang boyfriends ka na?"

"Hahaha. Ako? Wala pa. Let's say, maraming lalaking dumaan sa buhay ko...pero literally, dumaan lang talaga sila."

He also laughed. "Eh, first love?"

"Hmm...I guess that was when I was in high school? He's a classmate and also a friend. I fell in love with him, cared about him and often get worried whenever he's absent. He was the first guy na binigyan ko ng love letter but he left me hanging, avoided me then I just claimed that I was rejected."

"How is he? Still in contact with him?"

"Hm, well we greeted each other last Christmas. That's the latest conversation we had this year."

"Talaga? Kinilig ka noh?"

"Nasayahan ako, honestly."

"Ha. Oh? Talaga?"

"Hay. Don't get me wrong okay? I just felt happy pero hindi naman ako kinilig noh. He was a friend before I fell in love with him." I was waiting for him to say something but he stayed quiet. I continued, "So? Don't tell me gusto mong kwentuhan pa kita ng mga naging crushes ko since elementary?"

He looked at his watch. "Gusto mo? Go. We still have a lot of time."

"Hahaha. Fine." I started to recall my past. "I have my first crush noong grade one. He's Alex. He was very kind to me, smart also handsome. Grade 6, I met this guy named Josh. We became close and somehow became an item sa school. Let's say he was my childhood sweetheart? But then he--"

I stopped when he held my hand. "Bakit?"

"Hindi ko na yata kayang makinig pa. Mas nagseselos pa ako eh. Nabwibwisit lang ako."

"Eh ikaw tong may gustong malaman to di ba? Magtiis ka."

He was taken aback (again) by my mischievous decision but he got no choice. I told him the names of those guys I had crush on and how I liked them. He looked really annoyed but he's also aware that partly it's his fault kaya tumatahimik lang siya.

"So? Tapos ka na? Tara na. Mag-coffee na tayo. Gusto ko ng mahismasmasan." He seriously said that but for me it was funny. Don't even ask me why dahil hindi ko rin alam.

The mall was getting crowded at sa dami ng tao sa paligid muntikan na akong madapa pero gaya ng mga nangyayari sa shoujo manga at romance movies, Calvin came to the rescue and held my hand.
