3. A Taste of What is to Come - My First Vision

Pouring my heart out to God in prayer is when I had my first vision. I looked unclean and worn out in a dark chaotic place, this place portrayed my sin and the sin around me. I saw my husband, who was my fiancée at the time, walk up to me and like me he began to pray too. We looked up and saw a bright shining light in the distance. I took my husband by the hand and started running. With him running behind me we went straight into the light. As we entered, we were transformed. I wore a white dress and my husband a tuxedo. We found ourselves in a beautiful garden maze with all types of flowers. Without a second thought we ran through the maze and found ourselves in a church which we have never attended before. Everything was golden and glowing, but the light did not harm anyone. This glowing and golden light was not happening in Heaven, it was on Earth which I found very strange.

We found ourselves at the altar of the church getting married. When the priest spoke his final words, the church started to shake like an earthquake. The trumpet of the angels rang in my ears and the sound was so loud it could be heard by everyone on Earth. Then I saw Jesus in the sky coming from the clouds.

A great wave of panic spread throughout the church as the people who attended got up and started running frantically. Those that knew what was going on knelt to the ground awaiting their saving grace. Someone I did not know grabbed me to run but I turned around and looked at my husband. He was kneeling, just waiting on Jesus to take him. This moved my heart, and pulling my hand away from the person who had grabbed it I knelt beside my husband. Suddenly a great light came over us and we were going up into the sky. We were naked but we did not seem to notice. In the distance I could see a great light. It drew us closer and as we entered it; we were instantly clothed in glory. The great light was the gates of Heaven.

Beauty we have never seen before surrounded us. It was amazingly majestic. There were colours more vibrant and unlike any colours seen here on earth. The beauty of nature was at its best. The light that surrounded us was God Himself, He was the light source of all of Heaven.

As soon as we entered, the Lord welcomed and greeted each and every one of us. We all wanted to meet Him and touch His wounds. Sometime after, we were transformed into our wedding garments where we went to the grand chapel for the great big wedding in Heaven. We all sat in our assigned seats and were called one by one to receive our gifts. It was there that we were fully united with the Lord. Soon after that there was a great wedding feast. It was grand and full of all the food that you could think of.

Sometime after my husband and I went exploring around Heaven with our new wings. An angel gave us word that we were called by the Most High into the throne room so the angel escorted us there. The Lord's Glory filled the throne room so that as we entered, we could not help but bow in His presence. After this the Lord spoke to us, I do not remember distinctly what was said however. After speaking with God, we went back to exploring. In Heaven all we needed to do was think of something and the Lord would hear your desire. He would then have it appear without you even saying anything to Him. For example, we saw a beautiful river and we thought that it would be a great place for a bridge, and suddenly it was there, exactly what we thought would look best in that spot. We continued flying and having fun all day.
