Epilogue

Things changed.

Tanah was the shell of what he used to be. He may look the same, but whatever's inside had shattered permanently. Their previous injuries had worried him to no end, but this endeavor had broken him. He had lost the two people he'd grown so close with. There was even a short period of time where he wanted to kill them himself.

Api and Air were the first people to recover. They'd sustained injuries but with their newly acquired regenerative skills, they were out in a jiffy. Angin and Daun also had healing properties in their powers, but it took more time compared to the twins. They were hospitalized.

The pair of twins would visit Tanah, but he wouldn't answer. He would just stare at them, eyes dull as ever. He wouldn't reply to greetings, questions or even a simple hello.

Petir remained in a coma. The doctors tried to spawn theories regarding her anomalous state, but they hit walls. For now, she was put on life support until further notice.

Too many had happened. Too many things and feelings and people had been sacrificed.

Tanah looked down, avoiding Air and Api's concerned stares.

Oh, how he wished he could run away from all of this.
