You lived in America your whole life. Ever since birth, your parents knew there was something different about you. At not only 6 months you were speaking, 11 months walking and by 5 years of age, you had the knowledge of an above average freshman in high school. Obviously, you flew through school and got into college at the age of 14. Needless to say, the government immediately spotted you and scouted you. You worked for the government while attending college. Your life was not easy just because you were smart, in fact, it made it more dangerous. While in college you reached a stopping point. As you returned home to the bloody scene of the death of your family,  you felt something break. You went rogue, it almost completely made you go insane because you could never figure out why they were murdered. They were innocent, no petty crimes or bad crimes, no crimes at all for that matter. They had no enemies, but the attack was so well planned out that you refused to believe it was a random attack. The hate and confusion consumed you, and you left. You went to find the man who did this to your family. When you did, you made him pay, and it turns out you were correct, this was a targeted purposeful attack by underground bosses that wanted you to work for them instead of the government. You had gotten the whole story on tape before you decided you wanted to kill this man. And you would have, and no one would have ever found out if it weren't for L. He was a new private investigator, just as brilliant as you. He had found you, and it amazed you because you were sure you hadn't left a trace of what you were doing. That moment, was and will forever be burned into your brain.

Fast forward to the present time, you sat happily with your feet on the seat and your knees brought to your chest as the pilot announced you would landing soon. "Jervis please bring up all the information L has sent me on all the murders taken place worldwide", you said. Your butler/caretaker tapped the tablet's screen and it showed all the documents and pictures of everything you needed to know, including who L suspected was Kira. You scanned over the files once more. Of course, you had already memorized everything he had sent as soon as it came, but you were nervous and excited to see him, therefore, you felt the need to review everything. "Ma'am, when was the last time you slept? ", Jarvis asked while going behind you to brush your slightly messy (h,c) hair. "32 hours ago", you said while cleaning off your nails. You had a bad habit of always biting your nails so they were rather short. Jarvis sighed but sat back down once he was finished brushing your hair. Soon enough the plane landed in Kanto, Japan. It was not your first time here, but you felt giddy as if it was. In all honesty, you missed L and were expecting him to call on you sooner or later if he did not solve the case yet. If you were being honest, you had fallen for the quiet man as you two solved crimes together. A car was already at the port ready to drive you to L's location. As you stood up you looked at yourself, your outfit consisted of a very plain long sleeved V neck black shirt and dark blue jeans. You wore black and white sneakers and your hair was down and combed thanks to Jarvis. Jarvis opened the plane's door and you hopped down and walked to the car. As Jarvis got in across from you, you wiped your eyes, trying to conceal just how tired you were. Excitement and mystery had prevented you from sleeping. Jarvis sighed, "You're the worlds best liar Ma'am but you are never able to lie to me. Please, it is best you get some rest", he insisted. You look at him," Will you sing a lullaby?", you asked seriously. "If that's what it takes", he said, kind of surprising you. Jarvis cared about you very much and he was just as stubborn as you. "Fine, I'll rest", you said pulling your knees to your chest again and resting your chin on your knees. There actually was a lullaby that always made you fall asleep, your mother used to sing it to you. "Jarvis... will you sing, "You are my sunshine?", you asked while closing your eyes. "Of course", he said. Your eyelids already felt heavy, so you found that the sleepiness had hit you all at once. As Jarvis sang, you drifted deeper and deeper into sleep, all while still being conscious.

~Timeskip~

A soft nudge caused you to wake up suddenly. "Apologies ma'am, we are here", Jarvis said as he opened the door for you. You quickly composed yourself, "How long was the car ride?", you asked. "Two and a half hours ma'am", he answered grabbing your bags as you got out of the car. The sun had already half set by now.  "Good enough", you said looking at the building in front of you, "Oh Jarvis?". "Yes, ma'am?", he asked setting your bags aside you. "Is there a bakery nearby? I know you've been here before, so there must be a decent one nearby. I've looked up all the bakeries and pastry shops but which would you recommend?", you asked. He smiled a little, "I'll assume you'd want everything there except for lime, carrot and orange flavoured pastries". You nodded, "You know me well Jarvis", you said with a slight smile. "Indeed, that is why I already ordered everything by phone, and here they are", he said as a car that had "Uber Eats" pulled up. He went to the car and pulled out at least 5 bags on boxes. You put on your white protective gloves, grabbed your suitcase and opened the door for him, "You're truly the best", you said as he walked in. You both got into an elevator and pressed the button heading up to the floor L was on. Your heart fluttered but you kept a cool face as the doors opened. Two policemen were standing right there, "State your Identities", he said seriously. "I am A", you said calmly, A was your code name, "And this is my helper Jarvis, we are here to see L". "I'm going to need some ID", the older policeman said not flinching. You rolled your eyes, "Unfortunately I am not at liberty to show my ID for fear of anyone I talk to being Kira. I am aware that L has informed you of my arrival so why make this difficult", you said tightening your fists a little. Another big difference between you and L is that you had little patience, while he was always very calm. Before another word could come out of the policemen's mouth, Watari, L's caregiver and helper appeared, "That will be enough. Sorry for the inconvenience A, please follow me", he said offering to take your bag. You gave him a slight smile, " Thank you Watari, it is nice to see you again", you said handing him your bag. "Yes, it is nice to see you as well, L has been joyed to see you once more", he said walking you to the room. You smiled more but composed yourself as you entered the room. "This is where you shall me sleeping", he said. You looked around int he room and noticed articles of clothing already here, "I am sharing with another?", you asked. "Yes, L thought it best for you to stay by him, as he and you never rest, therefore, staying together would be convenient for work", Watari said putting your bag on your bed. Your heart stopped for a second, "I-I'm sharing with L?", you mumbled to yourself. You composed yourself once more, though on the inside your heart was jumping, "If that's what L feels is best, I trust his judgement". Watari smiled, "He is in the conference room waiting for you, you can come in whenever you are ready, Jarvis will be bunking with me Ma'am", he said. You nodded as they left you alone in the room. You put your stuff away neatly and sighed before opening the door, the boxes of sweets in pain as you walked toward the conference room door, opening it quietly. Two were in the room, L and the other you could only assume it was Light. They both turned towards you. You bowed a little, "Did I interrupt?", you asked.
