"Are you coming?" Isaac asked when he noticed Zac standing at the end of the driveway, instead of walking towards the door.

"I think I need to talk to Mom and Dad first, don't you?" Zac asked his older brother.

"That's your call dude, just.... maybe it would be better if you got things straightened out with Kayla?  You guys haven't really discussed this situation," Isaac suggested.

Zac stood there a few more moments after Isaac turned around and made his way into their house.

"Hello?!" Isaac screamed out.  The television in the living room was on and there were a couple of boxes of pizza on the kitchen table.  He grabbed a slice of pizza as he let his bags drop to the floor next to the dining room table, before he made his way towards Kayla's bedroom.  He stopped at her door and watched as she stared out her window towards the tree house in his parents' back yard.  "Hey sunshine," he said quietly.

Kayla jumped slightly before turning her body towards her bedroom door.  Her face lit up at the sight of her friend, but she didn't move from her spot, "Hey," was all she said.

"You okay?" Isaac asked as he made his way to her side.  He reached out for her and she allowed him to envelope her in a hug.  The feeling of security she felt whenever she hugged Isaac was always comforting to her and she was sure it had something to do with him being the oldest child in his family.  She immediately wondered if there was anyone who ever comforted him?

"Um, honestly? I'm not sure.  I dropped this bomb and then ran away without even taking a second glance at the wreckage and now I'm afraid to look," Kayla replied, her arms still tightly around Isaac's waist.

"I get that.... um, so, I feel like congratulations are in order?" Isaac asked, awkwardly, once he'd let go of Kayla.  She let out a small chuckle and thanked him before taking a seat on her bed.  Isaac sat opposite her, "He's not mad, Kay.  Well, I mean, he hasn't said much but I don't think he's mad that you're pregnant.  Maybe just that you didn't tell him sooner?"

"I literally just found out the day before the wedding," Kayla defended.

"Yet, Taylor still knew.  And what about the time before, when you knew but didn't have confirmation?  You turned to Taylor, not Zac.  He's hurt about it.  But like I said, he's not mad that you are pregnant so if that was a concern, I want to make sure that you get it out of your head now.  And if he gives you any shit, you let me know, and I'll take care of it," Isaac replied, trying to lighten the mood.

Kayla knew he was right, though.  No matter the circumstances, or the excuse, the fact still remained that Kayla had confided in the wrong Hanson boy this time.  Especially because Zac already seemed to have insecurities when it came to her relationship with Taylor.

"What am I gonna do?" Kayla asked, quietly as silent tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Hey," Isaac said, softly, as he moved closer to her.  He reached out and wiped her tears, "I know you're scared.  You have a right to be.  But this isn't the end of the world, kid.  I know it seems like it now, but I promise you it's not.  And you have us.  All of us, to help you whatever way we can to make sure that all the things you wanted to do with your life are still possible."

Kayla looked up at him.  They shared a glance for a moment.  He was right and she was shocked.  She hadn't shared with anyone any concerns she had outside of Zac.  She'd cried about feeling bad that she may have ruined his life and career but she'd never once spoken about how she felt like she may be ruining her own life and potential career.

"How did you know?" Kayla asked.

"Because it's the first thing I'd think of too.  Kay, we're not like everyone else.  I'm the oldest kid of seven children and you are an only child.  We think differently.  We use logic instead of emotion... most of the time.  I know why you're scared.  And you have every right to be.  But unless you are thinking of taking any other step except, having and raising this baby, you're going to have to get over it.  You can't feel sorry for yourself, or Zac.  You guys made and irresponsible choice when you had unprotected sex, and now you have to face the consequences.  It's not the end of the world.  Just the end of your world as you've known it thus far.  You can either learn and move forward or fall apart.  But kids need their mother.  So you really can't fall apart."
