Chapter 6

I don't know how long I was out for, but when I woke up it was morning already. For a few minutes I didn't know what happened nor did I how I ended up in my bed. Then it hit me the weird feeling, grandma coming home looking devastated, and last me been told that my mom is dead. I know this is real but it just hasn't set in yet, so I got out the bed as fast as I could and ran out the room yelling out to grandma.

Terry: GRANDMA GRANDMA GRANDMA WHERE ARE YOU? GRANDMA GRANDMA....

She was in the kitchen and ran out once she heard me yelling her name.

Grandma: baby baby what wrong? Are you alright? Why are you yelling? "while she's asking this question she is also checking Terry to see if she is just in some way"
Terry: "eyes start to tear up" is it true? Please tell me it not true? Please please please tell me it's not true?
Grandma: what baby, it what true? I have to calm down so I can understand you.
Terry: "tears start to trickled down her face and she takes a deep breath" is it true that my mom is dead?

And just by looking at are face I know this isn't a dream and my mother ready is dead.

Narrator: Terry and her grandma hug each other while they are crying over the lost of a beloved daughter and mother, know they have to be strong not just for themselves but for those twin boys. Once the boys get home they are told about the devastating accident and they new from that moment going forward their lives will not be the same. Over the next few weeks funaral arrangements have been made and before they new it it was time to lay Lily to rest for the last time.
For the next couple of years Terry has worked hard not only in school from getting A's and B's to help her grandma with the boys as well as around the house. She always felt happy taking care of people, and because she had got her a job when she was 15 working at a Diner she was able to help her grandma out not just physically, but financially as well much to her grandmother's displeasure. Once she graduated she new that she wanted to have a career that involves caring for people, so that's when she decided she was going to be a registered RN nurse.
