Heyy guys! So the last chapter was just a prologue, so it was just short. Now this is the real deal. And it's gonna be two months since they moved. Haha okay, byee. I can't believe even 1 person read this though 😂 Eugh I feel lazy to write but this is for you guys haha :--)

Chapter 1: Neighbors

~Alexa~

*2 months later*

Living in this neighborhood isn't bad at all. I've been enjoying my summer and i've just got back from Canada. My parents and I visited my relatives there. It was great. I also made a friend in Canada. He's my cousin's neighbor and friend, and her mom's as well. And his name is Darren and he's great.

This house is great as well. It's bigger than our older house but it's fine. And this has a swimming pool.

My mother rang the doorbell. Our maid, Ate Marlie opened the door for us. "Welcome home po!" She greeted us. The first thing I looked for in this house is my dog, Duchess. Duchess ran up to me and I petted her. "Duchess I missed you!" I squealed as I hug my golden retreiever.

I ran up to my new room. It's great. Well, this is just the fifth time i'll be sleeping here. "Alexa!" Mom called from downstairs. "Yes!?" I asked. "My friend will be here in about an hour! And he has a 13 year old nephew living with him so be friendly! And take a bath!" Mom called. "Okay!" I called back.

I took a shower and it took me like 15 minutes. So I still have time to rest.

I opened my lap top and checked my twitter. 8 new followers. Ooh. I haven't opened my twitter for a week. I checked my followers. Karlos was one of them. I check his account, his dp is pretty cute. So of course I followed him back.

I didn't know it's already an hour that passed and my mom walked into my room. "Hi honey. Can you pls fetch my friend Giovanni? He's the one I mentioned to you that will be visiting with his nephew. He's just 2 blocks away from us. I just want you to meet him." Mom said. Wow, so they're just neighbors and mom wants me to go fetch him pa? "Oh, okay mom." I said as I stood up and went outside.

This neighborhood is pretty big but I got to identify the house. The house is nice, it's small and simple. I rang the doorbell. An old lady opened the door. "Good evening Po. Andyan po ba si Tito Giovanni?" I asked. Unsure if that's his name.

"Ay ikaw ba yung anak ni Amalia?" The old lady said asked, referring to my mom. I nodded my head.

"Ay kamukhang kumukha mo siya iha. Ang ganda ganda mo!" She said pinching my cheeks. At least she didn't do it too hard. Unlike my mom. I think my mom couldn't control her pinches. Cos I swear, it hurts.

"Thank you po Lola." I said.

"Tawagin mo akong Lola Linda. Halika, pasok ka." She said gesturing for me to go inside. The house is pretty nice. It's small and simple.

"Alam mo ba mag best friends yan si Giovanni, Maylinda at iyang nanay mo." She started. Before I could ask who Maylinda is, I heard a shouting upstairs. "Karlos!" A guy shouted. Wait, Karlos? Sounds familiar.

A guy then went down the stairs. I stood up awkwardly. "Hi. Ako po si Alexa. Anak ni Amalia. Pinapasundo po niya kayo sa akin." I say awkwardly. This is just kinda ridiculous. They're just like two blocks away from our house. "Ah. Okay. Una nalang tayo. Matagal pa yata yung pamangkin ko. Naliligo pa eh." Tito Giovanni said. "Karlos! Punta ka nalang sa bahay ni Amalia!" Tito Giovanni shouted.

The walk with him was really awkward. It seems like it took like minutes to get home. Finally, we reached my house and my mom and Tito Giovanni chatted away. I was just sitting with them, awkwardly using my phone. "Naks Alexa, dalaga ka na. Nung huli kitamg nakita ang liit liit mo pa." Tito Giovanni said. I just smiled shyly at him.
