Light.

Light my way through the dark
Ignite within me, a hopeful spark.
White as snow, pure as gold
Like a book that was never told.

More than an idea, more than a word.
It is a silent confession,
It rests on wings of a bird.
Contempt in life within a hurtful fight, against those dark as night.

Light my way, heal my heart; it is broken and torn apart.
As fall turns to winter and winter to summer my heart shall renew and rebirth into words of better value.

Dark.

Darkness seeps into the core,
It sweeps away my deepest thorn.
Too many dreams, not enough reality.
From the broken part that speaks to me.

Light my way free the dark, please set me free from this tormented heart.
Perhaps a fleeting dream that has changed my view I know deep within my soul will renew.
I feel the light spread through me, the dark is gone I am free.

The darkness slinks into the shadow,
It has gone into a deep burrow.
The light spreads across the sky it sets a fire within my eye.
Shall my enemy be my enemy shall my friend change again?

Light.

The seasons have changed,
My eyes have lightened.
The world has turned, I am no longer frightened.
Winter that froze my heart,
Summer gave me a new start.
My soul refreshed before now I could only frown.

Light my way into the dark,
Light my way into the broken hearts.
I shall be the guide of time if you will be there and hold me on the line.

Lover come close for peace has come,
No longer do we need to fight for no harm.
Place your lips against mine,
Follow me, hand in mine;
Light my way
Come rain, come shine.
