"You don't wanna come in?" I asked Jahseh
"Nah"he shook his head
"Okay I'll be back"I got out the car and walked to the door.
I knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.
A few seconds later Glizzy came to the door. "Oh wassup Liah"he hugged me
"Hey...Where's Nahmir?"
He sighed "Upstairs"He opened up the door wider allowing me in
I walked in and saw Jay and Toya.
"Wassup Liah?"Jay waved
"Hey Jay" I smirked
"Well... hello niece, it's been a while"Toya folded her arms
"Not really"I rolled my eyes
"I never got to congratulate you on your pregnancy"She said
I shrugged "Thanks...I guess"I sighed before going upstairs
I tried open up the guest room but it was locked, I knocked on it.
"Nahmir?...can you open the door?"
I heard the bed moving a little indicating he was getting up.The door opened revealing Nahmir... his face was red and he had a few tear stains.I couldn't help but to hug him.
"Are you okay?"I asked
"Do I look okay Liah?......I can't believe this shit"He shook his head and walked back over towards the bed
"It's not fair"he mumbled.
You see Nahmir and Hakeem were really close. They didn't even see each as cousins...they saw each other like brothers.
"What happened?"I asked
Nahmir slowly sat on the bed "He was on the wrong block...they say Steven did it"
I sat beside him, sighing lowly "I-"
"It's my fault"He blurted out
"Don't even say that Nahmir"
"IT IS! Liah, Before I left Chicago Steven and I was beefing, He knew Hakeem was my cousin and killed him!"
"Nahmir that doesn't make it your fault!"I yelled
He ran his fingers through his dreads "The funeral is this Saturday...I got a flight Friday Morning"
"I'm coming with you"

"WHAT? Hell no! You not going...you can cancel that shit right now"Jahseh yelled going in the bathroom
I followed him"Jahseh...it's just for a funeral then I'm coming back" I assured him
"No...bruh...No"He shook his head while looking in the mirror
"Why not?"
"All the shit that goes down in that state" he sighed "I'd loose my mind if something happened to you"he turned around looking me in the eyes
I wrapped my arms around his neck "Nothings gonna happen to me, I spent my whole life there"
"I'm not letting you go to Chicago by yourself...Plus you're pregnant"
"Theeen how about you come to Chicago with me?"I asked
Just then I heard Ayleks came out her room "What y'all niggas talkin about?"
"Oh I thought you were sleep"I said
"I was until I heard his loud ass..nigga what the fuck was you yelling about?"Ayleks asked Jahseh
"He doesn't want me to go to Chicago"
"Why you wanna go back there?"She asked
"It's just for a funeral...Nahmir's cousin died"
"Then go with her"Ayleks said to Jahseh
"That's what I just told him"
"Alright...I'll go"He agreed
"I wanna go to Chicago too"Ayleks said
"This isn't a vacation Ayleks"
"I know but I always wanted to go to Chicago"She said
I scoffed "You know we going to the south side right?"
"What about it?"She asked
I shook my head "Never mind um... sure you can come...if Trippie says it's okay"
She kissed her teeth "That nigga ain't my daddy"she walked back into her room
"Riight"I mumbled
Geneva pov
I was in Mr.Martin's class and I noticed Liah or Jahseh wasn't here today.
It honestly makes my blood boil thinking about Liah having Jahseh's baby...
The bell rung cutting my thoughts off. Everybody ran out the class except me, and India...We walked out together
"Hey...why are you so quiet today?"India asked
I glared at her "You really asking me that?"
"Gen...she's pregnant...there's nothing we can do about that! I think it's just time to leave them alone"
I nodded "Okay"
I'll leave them alone For now...
