Chapter 4 ♕ Jake & Appna

Start from the beginning

A frown tugged on the corner of my lips once I saw the house come into view, because all I could think about now was Colby and that girl. And how she had a better chance with him then I could ever.

"Dang, I think I'm gonna pass out." Corey yawned.

"Me too." Jake agreed before we all hurried our way back inside.

Slow R&B music was blasting throughout the house which annoyed the boys more than it annoyed me.

"Jeez, I thought they would be done by now." Corey groaned, before him and Devyn went off to their shared room.

A sigh left my lips, "Jake, I will be up in a little. I'm just gonna go chill in the living room for a while and just watch some TV."

"Okay, but don't be up to late or you're grounded." He warned, causing me to playfully roll my eyes at him.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, dad." I brushed him off, before we went our separate ways.

I have been laying down on the couch for the past hour or so, just trying to watch my show but Colby's music was getting in the way of that.

"Jeez, did he pass out?" I questioned as I looked up at the ceiling.

Suddenly the music stopped playing and the house fell into a peaceful silence which I knew I wasn't the only one who was thankful for.

My eardrums picked up heavy footsteps coming down the steps before the front door was being unlocked.

"Promise you will call me." That girl said, which I laughed at.

"Yeah, I will." Colby reassured her before forcing her out door, "Not!" He laughed, which caused me to roll my eyes at his stupid behavior.

"He's so stupid." I hissed underneath my breath as I fell back into the couch.

"Why are you still up?" His deep voice startled me.

I ignored his question, "Why are you sweaty?" I asked, eyeing his half naked body.

"You know." He grinned, "I just had a little work out." He chuckled, flexing his muscles slightly as he made his way over to me.

"Eww, do not come near me." I hissed, "You are drunk and sweaty."

He playfully rolled his eyes at me, "I'm quite sober now after all those rounds." He winked at me.

"You're annoying." I mumbled, before turning my attention back to "The Office."

Suddenly, Colby's freakishly tall frame blocked my view of my favorite show, causing a groaning sound to leave my lips.

"Could you not?" I spat at him.

"You know." He paused for a second as he took another step closer to me, "I couldn't help but notice how jealous you were when you saw me with that girl."

I rolled my eyes at him, "You're literally dumb. Now move." I hissed at him as I pushed him away from me.

I stared at my now wet hand in disgust, "Eww, now I have to go burn my hand off." I whined as I quickly got up to go wash my hands in the kitchen sink.

Out of nowhere while I was drying off my hands, he wrapped his strong arms around my waist and turned me around so we could now be face to face with each other.

"Colby, stop doing this." I hissed at him again, but it only made him tighten his grip even more.

"Come on." He rested his fingertips underneath my chin and slowly lifted my head up, "Stop acting like you don't want me." He whispered, causing my breath to hitch.

Remember, Atmosphere. He's playing his little game with you, and you can't let him win. No matter what.

"If you don't let go of me within three seconds, I'm gonna stab forks into those pretty little eyes of yours." I threatened him, causing him to drop his smirk and arms from around my waist.

"Thank you." I said with a forced smile before walking away from him and making my way to Jake's bathroom.

"Gosh." I hissed as I slammed the door shut, "Could this get any worse?" I questioned myself.

I knew that I was starting to crave into his little tricks and I had to stop it somehow. And the only way I knew how to... was to beat him at his own game.
