After Jake had ended his video we all decided to head out for dinner, including Colby.

"Looks like we have to take two cars or..." Jake paused, before looking at me.

"Or what?" I asked.

"You could sit on one of their laps..." Jake's voice trailed off, "Oh shit, they all have girlfriends except for Colby." Jake finished his comment as he scratched the back of his head.

"Yeah, not happening." I laughed at that stupid idea, especially from the fact that it was coming from Jake, "I'm staying home." I added.

"Oh, come on. I don't bite unless you want me to." Colby winked at me, knowing that small movement will rub me the wrong way.

"Stop winking at me or you're gonna make me puke." I fake gagged, "And I will make sure to aim it on you." I hissed through my teeth.

"Whatever." He mumbled, "You can have fun by yourself in that haunted house." He laughed as he pointed to their house.

"Stop, you have to be lying?!"

"Why don't you find out for yourself." He smirked.

"Yup, not happening." I shook my head before making my way to Jake's car.

I awkwardly waited for Colby to settle in the passenger seat. And no, please don't ask me why we are choosing to break the law in the front of the car and not the back, because I don't know why either.

"Come on." He smiled as he patted his lap.

"Why do I feel like I'm going to regret this?" I asked myself that before I did what I was told to do. But instead of just sitting on him, I hovered over his lap.

"Just sit down." He groaned, annoyed at how I was being.

"No." I purposefully hissed, knowing that he hated when I spoke to him like that.

But instead of responding back he wrapped his arms around me, and in a swift motion he pulled me down onto his lap and positioned me in a comfortable position for the both of us.

My cheeks were on fire from the embarrassment that flooded my bones from having to be in this position with someone I barely knew. Especially with someone I thought was extremely good looking.

"Okay, off to Chipotle!" Jake shouted with glee.

"Jake, you know I don't like chipotle." I reminded him thinking he may have forgotten.

"Girl, you are not going to fit in Los Angeles with those taste buds." Corey chimed in.

"Ehh, don't really care about fitting in."

"Good, cause we don't either."  He said with a warm smile.

"Don't worry." Jake said, "We will stop to get you some middle eastern food at this really good restaurant that I know of."

"Thanks, buddy." I beamed.

I felt a slight squeeze against my right hip, causing my eyes to wander down to Colby. I noticed behind those piercing blue eyes of his were filled with mix emotions. Hatred was one of them, and the other was causing his pupils to be dilated. The hatred had to do with himself, but the other one had to do with me.

"Are you okay?" I asked, eyeing him slightly.

"Yup, better than ever." He reassured before pulling me closer to his muscular body.

My heart was now pounding against my chest as a wave of all my emotions flooded my heart.

Colby had this affect on me like no other, and I'm afraid that he might know that.
