My eyes shoot open and the first thing I do is look down to see if my leg was still there. It was.

I feel a hand push my chest back down against the couch, and I automatically know who it is. Of course, my knight in shining armor.

"Ivy's alive!" Stacey yells.

People rush in from the other room and I grin. "What happened?" I ask.

"Your leg caught on fire and you fainted," Hunter explains, laughing his ass off.

"Ha ha," I roll my eyes. I look at my leg, which is covered in ice, and I realize it slightly burns, but it's pretty fine.

Jordan hands me a glass of water, and I slowly sit up and drink it. "Sorry I fainted."

They laugh and sigh. "It's cool. You guys wanna watch a movie?" Eli says.

We all agree, and I flip my legs off of the couch and try to get up.

Reece grabs my arm and swings it around his shoulders, giving me support to walk without putting pressure on my burnt ass leg.

"You're a funny girl, you know that?" Parker says, smiling at me.

I scrunch my face up, but I don't answer.

"She's a loser, too."

He's not wrong.

I slap Reece's shoulder, anyways. Rude.

Is he doing that because of Parker? Parker wouldn't pull anything on me, right?

Parker snorts. "You're probably right about that one."

I narrow my eyes. He's known me all of 24 hours and now he's making jokes? Suspicious.

We all go downstairs and find our way to the couch, where I sit myself in the middle between Stacey and Dylan.

"It's girls turn to pick," Stacey announces.

As soon as they turn off the lights, I feel extremely drowsy, and I wonder if anyone will notice if I close my eyes. As they discuss what movie to put on, I tilt my head to see the rest of the group.

Next to Dylan is Jordan, then Parker, then Eli. On the other side of me, next to Stacey, is Hess and Reece. In that order.

Reece makes eye contact with me and I whip my head back to its place.

They put on Thor: Ragnarok, and I decide it's safe to close my eyes. I've already seen this movie. It's quiet and the opening scene starts, and I let my eyes close.

"Ivy, why are you sleeping!" Dylan hisses.

Ugh.

I stay awake for another three minutes before saying, "I gotta pee."

I get up and walk over to the stairs, making eye contact with Reece right before I do.

I go upstairs, into the kitchen, and begin to make myself a bowl of cereal.

"Sucks we couldn't kiss during spin the bottle."

That's not Reece.

I turn around and furrow my eyebrows at Parker coming into the kitchen.

"What did you say?"

He grins and shakes his head. "Just joking, Ivy."

Was he?

I hurry while eating my cereal.

"So, you like Reece."

I don't answer.
