He stood over me waiting for some sort of response, which I am refusing to give him. I stare blankly at him and nod slowly, it's not that I didn't want to answer him. I didn't know how!
You see, I don't have experience with the male population. I don't talk to boys. Frankly, I don't talk to anyone at all!
He seemed sweet, but I don't know him, I don't know how to respond to him! Without thinking I say "Okay." And still sit there blankly. He looked at me confused,
"Okay...what?"
I shrugged at smirked awkwardly.
He started to laugh at me. laugh at me! I flattened my lips into a line and waited for him to finish. After a couple minutes he started to calm down.
"What's so funny?" I asked defensively
"Your cute." He laughed lightly, pointing at me
Soon enough even I started laugh, not even knowing why. When he laughs I felt like laughing. This could be a fun friendship. Wait, what did I just say? Friend-ship? Oh lord....
I've never had a real friend. I never even wanted a real friend, I was always ok with being alone. Yet, now I seem to want this, a friend. Or maybe more that a friend.
He soon calmed down and settled next to me. "So tell me about yourself, everything there is to know about Baylin Evergreen."
"There really isn't anything to me" I shrugged.
"Oh c'mon of course there is! Hit me with it." He said dramatically.
"Well, I was born December 15th. I have a puppy named Holi. I have a sister, Mena. Menas 14. I was born in New York but I have a Persian background. And well, that's it. What about you?!" I smiled poking him in the chest
He smile back.
"You'll find out if you agree to go in a date with me. There I'll tell you all about me." He smiled slyly
I looked hesitant, "I guess I-"
"YES!" he interrupted me as he boomed.
And all could do was laugh at his excitement, and try to hide mine.
