"Yes, yes, yes! I missed you, babyyy!" She says, hugging me tightly. I can hear a slight slur in her voice and chuckle at her goofy image.

"Haha, thanks. I missed you too, love." I return the tight hug and feel instantly comforted by her familiar scent. "Also why are we going through the back?"

"I dunnoo. I guess the landlord is an assshole or somethin." She grabs my hand and leads me through the doors.

The music grows louder the further we go down the corridor and when we reach the door it swings open.

"Ladies!" A drunken guy stands in the doorway, releasing the loud conversations and thumping music into the dull hallway. He smirks, looking at both Ki and I. "Looking hottt."

"Ugh, gross" I mutter walking past him with Kiana holding my hand.

"Kiki, your friend doesn't seem so nice," He says with a fake pout. "Should teach her some manners."

"Great job at sexually harassing girls, Isa. Should add that to your resume." Kiana fires back.

We walk into living room and I feel the thick air of body heat sinking through my skin. My eyes glance at the beating lights and dancing people and suddenly I'm knocking down drinks with Ki.

Things are moving faster and my body seems to do the same. The music resonates under my skin and I don't hear my thoughts for once. There was an argument in the kitchen.A couple got kicked out for having sex in the bedroom. I am pushed into my drink after being bumped into.

"I am so sorry!" I can't match his voice to his face, but this man feels familiar. I look down at my wet top. "Let me help you." He says, grabbing a wad of paper towels from the table.

When that didn't work he took off his hoodie and handed it to me. When our hands touched it didn't feel like the first time. Weird.

The party dies down after an hour and I guide Kiana down the stairs and out of the apartment building.

"Cold, cold, coldd." Kiana mutters when we step outside.

"Don't worry I'm calling an Uber." I pause after realizing my phone is dead. Fuck.

I look around for anyone to help us out and hear shouting.

"Ok, c'mon guys I don't have anything!!Seriously!" I hear one voice. I turn towards it instantly.

I see him. He's standing with a group of boys that seem to be crowding him. He looks nervous, as if they were all holding a weapon against him. It was boy earlier from the party and without thinking I walk up to him, holding Kiana's hand as I do so.

"I know you." I say, staring right into his big eyes.

He pauses, a bit taken aback, I think. The rest of the group turns to stare Kiana and I now.

"Y-Yeah, I gave you my sweater, sorry about tha-"

"No. From somewhere else too." I didn't let him finish his sentence. He looks surprised. I'm surprised as well. How could I something so bold when I don't even know where I know him from?

He chuckles, which fills me with even more shock.

"Deja-vu, right? I thought I've seen you somewhere before."He suddenly glances back at the group, staring at him with a look of confusion mixed with disgust. He looks at the group and back at me, in an awkward beat of silence. Clearly he was in a hurry to go back to the group he was with, and finally decided to make an effort to pardon himself from me.

"Look, I have to get back to," he gestures to the scary men behind him. "But it was nice meeting y-"

"I need your phone." I interrupt. I didn't mean to interrupt him but I was slightly drunk and didn't want to try to articulate my current situation. "Sorry, but could you call me an Uber?"
