Chapter 8: That surprise kiss

He handed her a bunch of blue roses.

Sarah: Blue roses...

Sarah looked so amazed... Damn!

Jeremy: Yeah... I have a friend in Malaysia and I heard they’re growing blue rose there.

Sarah: But why blue rose?

Jeremy: It’s the rarest rose of all, like you...

 

I saw how Sarah blushed on what he said.

Direk Cathy: Andito na pala si manliligaw no.2!

Sarah: Jeremy, si Matt nga pala... Matt, si Jeremy...

 

Nagtinginan lang kami at kapagkuway nagtanguhan.

Matt: It’s not so nice meeting you, Bro.

Sarah: Matt...

Jeremy: Same here.

 

Walang gustong magpatalo sa amin sa titigan. Upakan ko na kaya ito?

Direk Cathy: Aba teka naman! Kung gusto niyong magkagulo ‘wag dito sa set ko.

Matt: I think, I have to go...

 

Kapag hindi pa kasi ako umalis ay baka masuntok ko talaga ito. I don’t want to see anyone holding my Sarah... I don’t want that! I’m freaking hate this feeling... Yung gusto kong pigilan ang gagong yun pero wala na akong karapatan...

If only I knew na ito yung magiging kapalit nang nagawa ko? I will not even touch Trina’s finger.

Direk Cathy: Oo nga, mauna ka na. Tapos na shifting mo! Kaloka na yang haba ng hair mo Sarah...

After a week, Jeremy brought me in Shanghai to attend a business convention.

I didn’t agree at first but Sir Hans said that I should be there as our endorser. They are about to launch kasi a first class condominium in BGC.

But they are so generous to allow Mommy and Tita Ai to join me on this trip but they weren’t able join us on the actual event because of the limited slots on number of guests.

So, it is only me and Jeremy for tonight...

It is a formal party as expected, a ballroom type.

Jeremy is such a gentleman and didn’t leave my side at all.

He introduced me to their business associates, Mr. Chi, Mr. Liu, Mr. Ching... All of their names sound the same to me, so I just nodded and smile but rarely remember who they are.

When the convention’s program ended everybody started to dance in the middle of the ballroom.

They’re playing classical music... It feels like we’re on ‘Titanic’.

 

Jeremy: May I dance with my princess?

 

I just smiled at him and he led me in the middle of the crowd.

We passed that awkward stage already. I’m really at ease with him, no tension at all...

He pulled me and we’re almost embracing. His hands are on my waist while I put mine on his shoulders.

We’re just staring at each other while we’re dancing along with the music.

Jeremy: Nǐ zhēn piàoliang (Eng Sub: You’re really beautiful)

Sarah: Ano?!

Jeremy: Wǒ ài nǐ, wǒ de gōngzhǔ (Eng Sub: I love you, my princess)

Sarah: Uy Jeremy, pinagti-trip-an mo na ako ha!

Jeremy: Wǒ kěyǐ wěn nǐ ma? (Eng Sub: Can I kiss you?)

Sarah: Bahala ka na nga! (Naiinis kong sabi)

 

He held my nape and kissed me. I was really stunned at what he did.

But when he started to move his lips to taste my lower lip, I slightly push him...

Jeremy: Sorry... But I’m not sorry I did it.

Sarah: Could we go back to our hotel already?

 

We didn’t talk on our ride going back to the hotel and while we’re inside the elevator.

I am the one who have got out first because my floor is in the 23rd while his room is on the 31st.

When I’m already out of the elevator and when the elevator door is about to close, he hold it and said...

Jeremy: I really had a good night, Sarah. I love you... Goodnight.

Wala ako sa sarili habang naglalakad ako papunta sa room ko.

Lutang yung utak ko.

When I was about to insert my hotel card, someone speak from my back and my heart almost jumped.

Matt: How’s your date with him?
