Why won't he answer? I think frantically and ran my hand through my hair frustratedly!
Where do I look for Max? Max....
If anything has happened to him......

A few hours later...

After frantically searching for Max, I'm just numb! I don't want to even think about the possibility.. As soon as I start to imagine what could be, I get cold chills,my whole body freezes and I think I've had several mini heart attacks.

We organised a search party with some well wishers from the hotel plus my friends joined me and we ran to the hospital where the accident patients were and we couldn't find Max anywhere! I was freaking out and I didn't know what to do.
I ended up desperately asking people I'm the street till my friends had to drag me back to the hotel when it started raining. I quickly grab a jacket and don't bother changing into dry clothes, every minute was precious!
What if Max was out somewhere  taking his last breathe? What if he was in pain?
And I'm not there by his side.....

I sneak out from the back and run to the accident area and by now the place is swarming with security. I grab my identity card and hurry to the police in charge.

I flash him my card and turn to him,

"I'm looking for my partner, Maxmillian Starlinksy, he was on this rump but I can't find him anywhere!" I say desperately

"Sir, all the accident victims  were rushed to the main hospital, there is no one else here" he says sympathetically

"How is this possible? " I shout, "he was here! On this rump!"

"But everyone is accounted for, all the victims were taken to the hospital, well except one VIP case, I hear the patient comes from big money, his family flew him to the mainland" the police man says

"Wait what?" I ask

"I'm not even supposed to tell but maybe he is the person you are looking for?" He asks

I hurry back to the hotel and find my friends pacing around looking for me.

"Jeez Nik! We were dying of anxiety looking for you too" Daniel says

"We are going to find him Nik, calm down" Valerian says

"I can't! Do you realize that I love Max? I love him! And now he's lost!" I say looking at all of them.

"Nik!"

I turn around and see my parents and my sister. They all  hurry to hug me and I really needed this right now.

"How are you guys here?" I ask in surprise

"Valerian called us and we got on the fastest flight we could get, Ventura is so upset, we are all upset, what happened to our Max? My mother says wiping her eyes

"Max is missing for several hours, we can't find him" I tell them

My sister is curled up in a chair sobbing. Max is her bestfriend, she loves him so much.

"Do we have any clues about where we can look for him? I already called my contacts to help in the search" my father says

"Thanks dad, what I was told is that everyone is accounted for except a certain VIP patient flown to the mainland, I hear he comes from money" I reply

"Nik wait, could it be Max?" My mum asks all perked up

"I thought so too but they said his family took him, we are Max's family, his parents are no more I say

"Think about it Nik, they said a wealthy family, have you forgotten that Max is a Demakide? The Harold Demakide's grandson?" My mum says

"Oh my God!  Of course Harold has that much clout, he is rich enough to have Max flown out, he is probably friends with the president!" My father exclaims

"You need to call him Nik!" My mother says

"Harold!" I exclaim

"Yes, Max is more important than your differences with Harold! I'm pretty sure he knows where Max is" my dad says

"You are right, I have to do this! How dare he just take Max away like that! I say
