I'm sad and lonely

I'm generally okay

During the day

When there's light

When it's not yet night

During that short period of time

Where thighs and wrists are hidden

Concealing cuts and scars

That dot my thighs and wrists as stars

Neat or messy

Shallow or deep

But when night falls I can't fall asleep

The darkness chases away my dreams

Leaving only my nightmares and

My razor blade

I'm generally okay

During the day.
