Soongyu - For All To See

:: From Now On ::

   "Ok, we've got our three day fan meeting coming up in the next month, so it's time to get our heads down and focus on practicing. We had a great comeback, but let's not become complacent. Let's give our Carats what they deserve, yeah?"
   The members around them gave light cheers of agreement in response to Seungcheol's speech but both Soonyoung and Mingyu found themselves too lost in each other's gazes to pay too much attention.

   The members began to break apart into their separate units and as Mingyu was about to turn and head towards his hip-hop team members, he heard Seokmin say something which caught his attention, "Hyung, is that a new earring?"

   Mingyu felt his heart jump into his throat and his thoughts sounded so loud in his head; surely he doesn't mean...?!
   Mingyu looked back in Soonyoung's direction and sure enough, Seokmin was looking at Soonyoung's ear. Soonyoung raised up one of his soft pale hands to gently clasp at the earring dangling from his left ear. One of the earrings from the set Mingyu had purchased for him; the little star dangling into Soonyoung's palm. How had Mingyu failed to notice when he first saw him?

   Mingyu couldn't stop the giddy feeling that erupted throughout his body and apparently Soonyoung was the same as Soonyoung began to chuckle before letting go of his earring.
   "What's so funny?" Seokmin seemed puzzled by Soonyoung's reaction but Soonyoung raised his hands and waved them slightly, "Oh it's nothing, don't worry. I just remembered a joke, that's all." Soonyoung assured Seokmin.

   "Hey, Mingyu! You coming?" Mingyu jumped slightly, surprised to suddenly hear his name. He looked away from Soonyoung and noticed Wonwoo, Hansol and Seungcheol all looking in his direction. He was keeping them waiting and so he internally scolded himself before hurrying over to their side, "Oh sorry about that, I was in my own little world." Mingyu smiled, bright and wide - feeling far too happy. Hansol lifted an eyebrow slightly at Mingyu's expression before shrugging it off and smiling back.

   "You were day dreaming? Who are you; Hansol?" Wonwoo joked, earning a light punch in the arm from Hansol. Seungcheol also laughed but did his best to draw all their attention and have them focus. Time to practice.

   They spent the next seven hours practicing, each unit taking turns for the first couple of hours until all thirteen members then began to practice together. The sound of their shoes squeaking over the wooden floor echoed back and forth in the room whilst the music played. Mirrors on every wall catching their every movement.
   Like always the performance unit were flawless and after a while helped the remaining members along with different parts in the choreo. Mingyu was already hot and sweaty from the repeated dancing they'd been doing all morning, but he didn't expect his body temperature to sky-rocket so quickly when it came to Soonyoung monitoring them.

   Soonyoung would often stand to the front and watch the other members during practice as his  eyes caught the movements or the faults that the others didn't. He wasn't their main dancer and a key player in the choreography making for no reason. It was something so normal, something that he'd done hundreds of times however this time around Mingyu felt like Soonyoung's eyes were burning through him whenever he was focused on.

   His hyung was wearing a dark green hoodie with black trousers, his soft brown hair parted down the middle to reveal his pale forehead. His hazel brown eyes were scanning up and down Mingyu's body as he danced, watching for any mistakes, checking that he was in time with the rest of the members. Mingyu felt like his stomach was doing somersaults. Soonyoung had looked at multiple other members this exact same way, yet now it felt intimate and Mingyu couldn't be sure, but felt like Soonyoung's eyelids had lowered ever so slightly whilst watching Mingyu; his gaze intensifying.

   Mingyu had to keep his thoughts calm as Soonyoung was simply doing his job, he needed to stop getting so worked up at the innocent actions of his hyung. But God did he love Soonyoung watching him.
   Despite telling himself to stay calm, Mingyu miss-stepped during the next moment of the choreo and in doing so, caused Joshua to knock into him from the left with a thud.
